It is a great Multiplayergame in that you can have a lot of fun.
Pros:
-Very unique gameplay 1 Killer vs 4 Survivors
The survivor have to activate 5 generators while the killer has to hunt them and put them on hooks until they are sacrificed
-In the chase survivor can use the environment, pallets, windows or lockers to loose the killer
-Unique Killers all with different abilitys, stats, appearances
-35 maps in 15 diffrent themes with different appearances, buildings and setups
-A game with a big replayability. Most of the players have over 200 hours
-A game that requires skill, mindgames, strats and good perk setups
-Ranks to seperate good from not so good players
-A lot of customization for the Characters especially when you buy the cosmetic DLCs
-5 different Killers and 7 different Survivors you can play without buying a DLC
-Ability to purchase non licensed characters with game currency you gain by playing the game
-A "shop" with 4 random perks that updates once a week in which you can buy the perks of the killer, survivor, DLC killer and DLC survivor perks
-An enormous amount of stuff you can get over 100 different addons, over 60 perks and over 60 offerings
-The amazing feeling when someone steps into your beartrap you placed (The ability of one of the Killers)
-Developers that are very communicative to the community
They have every few weeks a stream where you can ask questions and they tell us about upcoming stuff
They implement stuff and ideas the community suggested
-Game is being constantly updated
-Even though they are a small dev team they did a pretty good job so far
-There aren't as many bugs as many people say. I at least encounter them rarely
-You get so much out of the game for the 20€ you paid (when not on sale)
-Steam trading cards

Cons:
-A toxic community i mean like really it is a competitor to the dead sea so salty is this community sometimes. BUT there are also some nice people
-Camping is a problem for the game even though it is a strat that is approved by the devs nevertheless a very controversial one
-Some perks are unbalanced so there are sometimes gigantic gaps of their usefulness
-The Killers are on High ranks at a disadvantage and for the killer it is sometimes very frustrating
-Some Killers are underpowered
-The matchmaking is a bit buggy
-The devs sometimes release broken stuff that wasn't tested enough
-For people that buy it because of the scare factor i have to dissapoint you after some hours the game isn't very scary but for casuals that play it every now and then it can be scary

Conclusion
Even though the game has a bad side (what every game has) i can only say buy it it is a great game and in my 900 hours I never regretted the buy
