Have some friends who like board or card games? Get it. Simply amazing mind game.

Played launch night! Overall it was a pretty neat experience.
Having played just about EVERY CoD game, this one has some awesome concepts and A LOT to do.

However, with that said there were a few to many problems that I had to refund it for now. From the mouse stutter to certain levels simply crashing the software to relaunching in windowed mode and multiple other graphics settings resetting each time, it just became a bit much.

Now I have a feeling this will be a winner here in a few weeks, but if you can wait for a few patches, you will get your money’s worth. Today? This week? May not be worth it.

EDIT 1: Well the patch seemed to fix the mouse issue. I am also no longer crashing on certain maps. Its pretty close to being worth it! Changing recommendation.

One of my favorite games of the year!

This game reminds me of a simple, single-player version of EVE Online.

While there is a basic main story line, the game really allows you to do whatever you want.
It’s not uncommon for me to hear a distress call, save the mining vessel from a fleet of enemy ships, then scan the barge and realize I need what he has and destroy him anyway. Even worse, sell him some items then destroy him to get them back after being paid. All while trying to maintain a good standing with certain factions.

The music is top notch. I could listen to it all day and it really sets the scene as a free-lance/cowboy pilot.
Visually it is also wonderful. While not on the same level as EVE its enjoyable to fly through.

The combat is unique (in a good way). It is a hybrid between targeting and letting your AI handle the work and manually aiming and shooting. I like this a bit more than the EVE combat system.

The developers are also on-point. Very active in the community and make promises they can keep.

Overall I would give this game a solid 8 out of 10. Well worth the money for any gamer who likes space action or adventures.
