It's not a hard game, but enjoyable and the graphics and sounds make it very satisfy to unpack. Great relaxing game.

Early Access Review
It's good fun, but very much a RNG game which doesn't directly reward you with success for doing the right thing. Sometimes you just get lucky with which heroes become available which allow to you level up. Not bad on mobile either.

I love to unwind after a long day at work by hopping in my Volvo and taking a long drive through Europe. I didn't know what to expect from this game but it keeps getting better all the time and with a racing wheel or Steam Controller the satisfaction of driving increases dramatically. The graphics look great and the scenery is amazing. Must buy!

MechWarrior Online is a game of thirds. 1 third is the actual game, i.e. using giant stomping mechs to shoot lasers, cannons and missiles at other mechs. The next third is build said mechs, the mech lab and coming up with builds is one of the best parts of the game. It isn't like most other games, you can make terrible mechs if you don't know what you are doing, but if you know your strengths you can make amazing mechs. The final third of the game is the people, I didn't enjoy MWO initially because I was playing on my own. I connected to the Comstar NA team speak channel and just met people who also play MWO and had a great time. I also lurked and eventually contributed to the forums at http://www.mechspecs.com and I enjoyed the game even more.

You can drop some real money in the game to buy mechs, and I recommend you do to support the game, but you don't have to because there is no "Pay To Win" aspect of the game.

I've spent more time playing MWO than any game I have ever owned and I still keep coming back for more. Highly recommended.
