An absolutely lovely, stunning game that is held back by developers that don't know what direction they need to take between catering to hardcore players and achieving success. Success is had by making games accessible and FUN, which this game is constantly on the cusp. It has no controller support if very minimal, it has an overabundance of balance patches whereas if you're a player getting back to the game after a few months you will be left not knowing where to stand. The game features a seasonal wipe system, which is something that both helps and hurts players trying to find ground to the game; but the content can be enjoyable if you're willing to buy cosmetics and skins, which adds a layer of permanence, personality and fun between wipes and seasons of the game.
Recently the devs of the game got sued and its left me knowing the game may finally be on its last legs as far as success goes. I just hope this game gets better because the aesthetic and depth of the dungeons are unlike any other- i love nights of swords and sorcery with the boys and this is a great outlet but the developers made a wrong choice in catering to the hardcore gaming crowd. There needs to be some balance between casual and hardcore to make a game not only be successful but simply enjoyable for people.

This game has my friends and I, both online and in person, entranced as hell. It's so immersive and golden and the boss fights are epic. I myself don't like orchestral soundtracks for the most part and that doesn't change with this game but regardless it's the perfect game to play if dark souls was too hard for you.
