Early Access Review
I knew it was the right game for me when I actually felt rewarded the time I completed my first quest.

If you like simple yet complex puzzles, this game is for you. It contains 80 levels, each very different from one another.

Ubisoft is far from being my favourite game developper company, but Watch dog really caught my attention. This review will be as objective as possible.

------------------------[Once you connected to Ubisoft's servers...]------------------------------

Pros:

- During a mission, you have the choice to play aggressive, using your guns, or more stealthy, using your skills to hack to have an advantage on your ennemies and move while they are being distracted (which is not easy by the way). This remind me a bit of Deus Ex Human Revolution, which it strength was to be able to choose between those two.

- The multiplayer is really good in my opinion. For example, a player could join your session (but you don't know it) and starts hacking you. You then have to find him before he finished is hack. The opponent is disguised as a normal civilian and could be hidden, which make it difficult and stressful, but very exciting.

- Hacking is satisfying. Especially when you neutralize a cop or an other player by destroying his car. There are a lot of stuff to hack around Chicago to stop your opponents, such as traffic lights, steam pipes, blockers, spikes, bridges, and more. You have to be wise though. Hacking requires batteries from your phone so you have to choose carefully.

-There are plenty of skills, distributed in 4 categories: hacking, combat, driving and crafting. You can also invest into Aiden’s focus ability which allows you to combine hacks with combat.

- I haven't completed the first act yet, but I am really attached to the characters already. From where I am in the story, Aiden (you) lost his niece in a car crash because he has been shot by a guy on a motorcycle. I kind of take my mission personally, because I really want to find the dude...

Cons:

- There is mouse acceleration... You deactivate it from the settings, but you can change it threw the .xml file. Here is where you can find it (windows) : C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Watch_Dogs\ [some numbers] \GameProfile.xml"
Oppen the .xml file with a text editor (I used notepad++). Find "Sensitivity" and change it to 1, "UseMouseSmooth=" to 0 and also set "Smoothness=" to 0. Lower your game settings for better results.

- The voice acting is somewhat bad. I can't really tell if the synchronization fails or if the animation is bad, but there is something wrong.

- Loading screens takes a while. It's a good thing there aren't that many.

- I've been experiencing annoying graphical bugs, such as lighting/shadow issues. It's like if the shadows are flashing sometimes... it's just really annoying. I also experienced other graphical issues, such as transparent roads. I took a screenshot if it: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=265264257

- The driving system is not fluid/car physics are bad. I don't want to start a war to know which one between GTA V or Watch dog is better, but don't expect the driving system to be as good as GTA...

-ctOS Mobile companion app. What is this? It it suppose to be a mobile app on which you can play a multiplayer mode with people playing the real watch dog. The application is free and you don't need to have watch dog to play it (which is good) but I try to play it since three days now but all it says it's that I can't connect to Ubisoft's server (duh). I tried the tutorial though. You control an helicpter and you chase an other player, who is playing Watch dog, in a car. You want to netralize him before he reaches the final checkpoint by sending cops and hacking stuff. It has the potentiel, really. but hey, I can't play.

- Oh... and U[don't]play...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Final note:

- I give Watch Dog a 70 out of 100. I would like (really) to give more, but once again, Ubisoft didn't show me they could make a game without bugs and lag and sh*t. However, I still continue playing Watch dog, and I don't regret buying it.
