Baldur's Gate 3 offers a product like no other. in terms of crpg mechanics this game is as good as it gets.

every little interaction you'll make, be it murdering a goblin to even petting a dog, will change your route immensely .

forget about the mundane side quests you are used to from other games, in BG3 side quests are as interesting as the main plot. the ambience, interactions between npcs to the world itself, makes it feel like a living breathing dimension.

larian made every corner filled with adventures to discover, and the sheer amount of options may call for a second, third or even fourth playthrough.

each character you possess in your group adds unique advantages and disadvantages.

one can speak to animals but is weak with melee weapons, the other is strong with a lack of charisma, and the third is weak in combat with a unique persuation skill you may find usefull in the long run.

you can have a pacifist run only utilizing charisma, you can choose to kill every character stumbled upon and make it a mono run, or even try to remove an entire specie from existent in an old german fashion.

I think the key word is option, in Baldur's gate 3 you can always pick the option accommodating your playstyle and follow it thoroughly.

the only problem I got is the weird camera angle, which I was luckily able to change with some native mods.

9/10 for how it is and 10/10 with some mods and tweaks.

it's called a souls game because that's exactly what you trade in order to play.

Wakfu is a free to play turn based tactical RPG, which is unique way of saying it's just a capitalistic money hungry machine with gorgeous textures and a beautiful art style. it starts slow, introducing you to the world completely free of charge, and just when you fall in love with the game at one point or another, you soon realize it locks you in as a customer.

from a certain level the grind becomes so unbearable it feels like a chore. for every major game mechanic in place you need to spend 5$ or 20 hours to progress. (believe it or not that is the lightest example I have in mind).

gearing at those levels isn't just a long grind, it's an unethical exploitative psychological trap of human nature. in order to obtain the right gear you so Desperately need, the game gives you an option: either get extremely lucky, or spend 100+ hours on a single equipment. not to mention there is this "rune crafting" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanic which straight up requires you to gamble your way up for power. in this system you need to obtain an identical item to the one you want to enchant, and sacrifice it for a CHANCE! to first get the number of runes you need, and then the right colors to buff your stats. (one of the most predatory systems in a Freemium game I've ever witnessed).

it may not be as prevelent as in Diablo immortal, but the fact that it's the closest resemblance I had in mind says a lot about it's nature).

so to summarize this, if you play this game long-term, you either stay in your room with vitamin D Deficiency, deprived of any real human connection and possibly avoiding your Responsibilities, or end up spending WAY to much on a garbage game to no end.

you might think that's the major problem I have with the game but Sadly, it isn't.
while Exhaustingly farming your gear, your Character is going to be criminally underpowered to deal with anything. you can stay that way for years or just spend a couple hundreds of $ to get right where you need to. even then, after all those efforts of gearing up, you will STILL need to farm special keys to do anything interesting. which means then again that you need to either spend 20 hours farming, regretting your life choices, or SPEND 10 BUCKS.

no matter which level you reach and how well equipped you are, you will stay in this Psychological Prison until you either get burned out from this $hit and realize there are far better games with amazing qualities and respect for your time, or end up Post-Loss Speeding your way to whaling around in this nightmarish Dystopian capitalistic piece of garbage some call a "game".

No amount of money will make you satisfied with your position in game, and the worst thing about it, it's the fact that it was made this way by design.

for your own sake folks, trust me on this one, stay away from this. I've made some regrettable decisions you shouldn't repeat.
