this is more effective than other idle games i've played for getting me to actually do work - because it's run-based there's no anxiously checking back to buy the new thing as quickly as possible. you just press the button and work until it tells you it's treasure time. love it

it's a little silly how well it actually works to get things done. my only complaint is that you unlock everything within about two in-game years and there's not much to aim for after that. i would love if there were some like, ridiculously expensive crop to build towards to continue to feel a sense of growth

normally i balk at a price tag of over $20 for an early access game, but my friend gifted this to me and i ended up buying a copy for my brother after a single session. this game is gorgeous and too much fun. just... do NOT boot it up if you wanted to accomplish anything else today. you WILL play until bedtime (and probably beyond)

honestly, with the company i keep, this game is more like "don't burn the camp down"
