Great game, great OST. Loved the original, the remake/remaster/whatever you wanna call it still keeps the nostalgia while adding some new stuff.

It's a Lovecraftian Vampire Survivors, except made 100% better because I can attack when I want. As opposed to my character just doing it as they please.

A remake all remakes should aspire to be. I even played the original a week before to keep the game fresh in my mind and it STILL felt mostly new. Though I wish they included a model viewer like the RE Remakes, as I do enjoy examining the detail that went into them. I can only see so much from a mutilated corpse on the ground in dim light. C'mon, gimme a model viewer!

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt like I had to for this.
I thoroughly enjoyed the game, despite the massive stutters here and there, some of which caused my untimely demise. It was basically Dead Space in all but name; in fact, even the story was incredibly similar. Replace Unitology with whatever this cult is who wants to progress Humanity, and pretend Necromorphs aren't a thing.

Necromorphs were also way more memorable. These creatures not so much. More weapon variety would have been nice too as opposed to Handgun A/B, Shotgun A/B, and burst assault rifle.
Oh, yes; that one boss enemy? The two headed thing I shall refer to as Twobus Prime; obnoxious as ♥♥♥♥ due to its ability to instakill you.

Then there's the combat. It's... there. It tried to be extra with its melee maneuverability, but let's face it. With the stuttering, you don't actually dodge 80% of those attacks and just get slapped around like a 2 dollar thot.

I await the continued story DLC. For more stuttering shooting!

Really loved the game. Reminded me a great deal of Bloodborne with its aggressive combat, and the plague weapons sort of reminding me of its Trick Weapons. Though the enemy variety is lacking, but it makes sense considering the story so I can't complain there. Speaking of which, the story was pretty neat, and the music was also pretty good!

Revised review, many moons later. Great game, music is hauntingly good. Devs helped my save game issue when they could've left it sit in the void. When's the third game coming?

Game is fun in VR, but I wish the smooth turning was actually faster on fast. It's so... slow.

Game's a tad different than the previous iterations. The attribute system was kind of an eh edition, as I just maxed that out immediately. Enemy damage either scales to your HP, or their damage is percentage based. I'm not quite sure, which is alright I suppose.

Dodge/counter mechanics remind me of Nier Automata, and the combat isn't super spammy where you can stun lock your enemies to submission. You have to observe their moves, know when to strike, and punish them.
Can't say I like Fury's personality all that much, a bit too much of a try-hard. Aside from that, game's great so far!
