The tutorial is an absolute bore and it takes way too long for the game to open up to you. The combat is janky and simple, the quests are fetchy and repetitive, the narration is overdone and annoying, and the unlockables are mostly useless. Interesting looking equipment usually sucks compared to whatever you already have equipped. You'll die more to water (early on) and tar than you will to even the toughest of enemies. The morality system is busted, can be abused, and doesn't really affect 99% of the game. You can't set waypoints on your map, and the coordinate system is more than a little funky. Some quests or objects seem bugged, but I only had one side quest I couldn't finish, and all bugged items in the game were related to a quest I hadn't unlocked yet. You WILL have to progress the story several times to fully unlock mobility in the areas.

If none of that bothers you and you enjoy just running around a fairly interesting looking world to see what there is to discover, it's a pretty decent game to jump into. I played it. I beat it. I did even the two collection achievements that weren't worth the time invested. 7.5/10
