Brings back memories

While it's fun for a while (I've been playing for more than a year), it's not worth investing too much time or ANY real money.

The main quests offer interesting storylines, and the prospect of getting rare or legendary items keep you coming back for more. So does a degree of freedom to the layout and upgrades to your vault. The crafting doesn't seem necessary when you do a lot of quests, because the rewards alone should be enough to equip your dwellers, so you most likely will end up filling your warehouses with a huge amount of junk.

However, the game tends to crash every now and then, and a crash at the wrong time corrupts your save - rendering your vault unrecoverable. So if you've made considerable progress and it crashes - there is a chance that your precious vault is no more. Aside from that, the quests become repetitive after some time (there are WAY too few locations, it's as if you're visiting the same places over and over later on). There are also vault incidents that at higher levels (deathclaws) are frustrating and happen too often, so it's imperative that you have a well-equipped army guarding the rooms adjacent to the vault door at all times.

And so it's difficult to rate this game (despite it being free) because it's designed for long-term gameplay (as in finish a quest, upgrade a room, and get back later), while being totally unreliable due to the crashes that can make you lose everything...
