Example of a game where the protagonist was changed during development from red-headed white woman to black woman "for no reason whatsoever":

Games with additional DRM (in addition to platform DRM) like Denuvo, Arxan, Enigma Protector, can affect your game performance (stutters, lower framerates, longer loading times) and CPU temperature severely. Avoid these games.

DEI needs to DIE.

About me and my games
My first home gaming system was a Sinclair ZX Spectrum+.
My user name redsimonDE does not contain any part of my real name. I created it decades ago when I did my first steps on the internet and thought it was cool. The DE in it stands for Deutschland.

My views on Gaming:
- It's a life style. I have other interests, but Gaming is my main one. I consider myself a Gamer and actively support being called a Gamer and I think Gaming culture is wonderful.

- Games like all media are nowadays more frequently targets of political activism. There is no justification for this, games have been great in the past and nothing has changed about this. People should fight back against this invasion of political activists wherever those are trying to get a foothold and drive them out from areas they have claimed.

The following games I don't play anymore and won't play them ever again:
- Smite: Not only does this game have lootboxes, but the developers stopped adding meaningful content years ago. In addition I am boycotting HiRez Studios because of their questionable political actions.
- Holdfast: Nations At War: It's actually a good game, but the melee system is bad, which is crucial for a Napoleonic game. This ruined the fun for me so I stopped playing.

Isonzo is one of the best WWI multiplayer FPS available to date.

Featuring unique mechanics based on the circumstances of the Alpine Front of WWI, it is an FPS probably never seen before.

In the game you fight as either Austrian Empire or Kingdom of Italy soldier in mostly mountainous terrain with weaponry that at times is familiar, at other times odd, based on the technological level and inventions of the time.

The balance between realism and arcade gameplay is well done.

Since release the game has received updates with more maps and weapons and one new faction (German Empire, based on German intervention forces on that front).

The few criticisms I have are stability (even after many updates game can still freeze for some players) and the lack of voices other than Austrian German dialects and Italian, as both sides but especially the Austrians had many ethnicities fighting on their side (Austrians had Hungarians, Bosnians, Czechs among others).

More updates are announced in the roadmap.
