Now I know that a lot of people are gonna get the wrong idea looking at this game from the surface and its title name doesn't help either, but beneath its sexy allure is a arcade like, action diablo game. At the time of this review the game is in early access, so the game is buggy and content is light at the moment, but the devs so far have been fixing and adding things about twice a week. That being said, what is here so far is a nice foundation for what the game will be someday. I've been having fun with it. If you like boots and loots their is plenty to keep you occupied while we wait for the game to cook.

Finally got around to beating the game, and I must say it did not disappoint. Fans of Castlevania symphony of the night or the other Castlevania games that have the same game play will love this game. Even if you haven't played any of them, Bloodstained is a great game to play regardless, if you like these types of games. Theirs much to explore, secrets to find, and many ways to go about playing. The variety of equipment and shard builds is huge. All around a great game with great designs and music. I hope that the game takes off, and we can get a sequel in the future.

Weird sentence after the title aside, this is a pretty good and fun platformer puzzle game. Don't let the look and price fool you this isn't some crap game or asset flip. sure some of the backgrounds look rough, but for a game thats only a dollar it plays and looks better then most games around the same price. Well worth your time and money if you like puzzle games with some action thrown in. The sound track isn't bad either. Another thing I like about the game is it has controller support, which is a plus for me. The dialog is very meh and pointless like most low budget anime type games have, but luckily you can go to options and turn it off for a full gameplay packed time with no bull.

This is a really good game for a really good price. lots of love and charm put into this game. Now I know retro indie games are a dime a dozen, but this is one that should stand out from a lot of the others.
Its basically a metroidvania type of game where you go around and picking up things to upgrade yourself. The kind you would find on the MSX system, and it does a very good job of being authentic. As a added bonus it also has a simple editing system for making a character, tile sets, and even a level editor to make your own adventure. Another added feature which I haven't been able to mess with yet, is the mode where you can watch a friend play and either help them or screw around with them.
All in all its a very sweet game for its price and its already got a lot of people making cool things in the workshop, so if your not too good at making things yourself theres plenty of customization for you to mess with, and more game to play when your done with the main campaign.

I'll be brief as possible. Nice artstyle other then that everthing else is just not exacuted well.
Enemies don't show up until they are a foot in front of you and all enemies kill you in one hit resulting in you going all the way back to the only save point in the game, your house. there are quick save statues peperred around but you have to have a coin on you and its a quick save.
the stamina bar for running is terrible you get a few seconds of running speed then your running just gets slow until you run as fast as you walk, so enjoy quick bursts for escaping or getting over enemies.
and the world only lets you walk on streets, basically corridors filled with one touch death enemies.
and there just isn't any fun trying to avoid cheap one shot enemies with no idea where to go or what your even doing other then find your dog and sister being the vague goal. There is just nothing really driving you to explore what little there is to explore if you can even handle getting around.

I'm glad to see this game got a sequal. I loved the first one, and if you enjoyed the free first princess remedy then you'll enjoy this one just as much. It has the same charming classic looking graphics and same gameplay, but with a few things added in. Such as the partner system. Once you heal someone you can have them partner up with you and they can give you a different speacial move then your normal bomb throw speacial. And boss battles at every heart gate. The music is great again too. So go ahead and play the first one cause it's free, and if you like it and want more, throw a few bucks to get this one.

I like the art style of this game. This is a very fun and simple game, yet there is so much shrouded in mystery that keeps you curious. Its also pretty challenging. The game will take a bit to get used to and to figure out, but after a bit of playing it you'll see yourself improving and learning tips to get you through the changing dungeons. I see a lot of people complain about the price, and I'll admit I would of prefered paying $20, but they worked pretty hard on this game and its a great game to play alone or with a friend or two, so I'll gladly pay a small chunk of money to play and enjoy this game that I'm sure I'm gonna get a lot of hours of play time out of. Better then paying $40 or $60 for somethig thats lackluster.

I was surprised that a free game could be this good and charming. This is a great game that reminds me of the days of old MSX games or early home computer games. Its got great music, plenty of secrets, and multiple endings. The multiple endings were a nice little reward for beating the game. The gameplay is simple but challenging and the challenge picks up as you progress. There is also a pretty epic last boss fight. Just an all around enjoyable game that anybody can enjoy, and it costs you $0. I hope for a fleshed out sequel, I'd pay for that. Hell I would of thrown a buck or two for this game too.

This is a very interesting project. though the pricing could be a little better for a hour and an a half experience, I feel it should be at least $5.00 at the most. Anyway I did enjoy this, but I'm sure a lot of people aren't going to, and that is fine everyone has there tastes and opinions. I don't really have anything else to say with out spoiling the premise. I think I've said all that is needed to be said. This is a more artistic experience then a video game. If you enjoy games where you walk around and enjoy the environment with little reaction (like LSD simulator for example) then you'll get a kick out of this game.

I just beat the game. Took me 8 hours, but I did do a lot of exploring and back tracking. I'm sure my friends are confused as to why my game kept turning off and on lol. This is a great game. it's a fresh new concept of gameplay combined with great music and charming characters and backgrounds. It's also got many decisions and paths to take and certain things will have different results depending on your actions. If you like RPG games and want to play something that isn't the same old traditional formula, then I urge you to buy this game, or if your into bullet hell games you'll feel right at home too.
