The only good part of DayZ is the modded servers. Vanilla takes too long to find anything, and is just a flat out running simulator. Modded servers you can find guns, and make friends really quickly. Don't buy this game unless you plan on joining a modded server.

The story is short, making this playable, not just a game inside of a game. Once you complete the story for this DLC, the possibilites are nearly endless. It's also possible to have them guard your settlement, in case Preston needs help again.

(I would reccomend a cheat menu mod for this DLC though.)
