I beat all the bosses in Nightreign solo, and I'd give the game a solid 7/10.

After ~12 hours of gameplay, I saw ~95% of what it has to offer, which is very little for a roguelike. The game needs about 10 new “main” bosses, and I don't know, maybe 200 new items and ~50 minor bosses.

In addition, the map definitely needs to be expanded because currently, after a few hours of play, all of its variations are very similar to each other, which makes every run look very similar - and that is the biggest flaw of this game, in my opinion.

If you've played Darks Souls trilogy before and Elden Ring, there's very little new content, and six of the eight main bosses are no challenge at all when playing solo - at least when playing as Ironeye.

The biggest advantage of the game, in my opinion, are the characters and the synergies between them when playing in a group of three, especially if you have friends to play with, with voice comms.

If you want more Souls-like gameplay, then this game is worth the price, but if you expect something more, then i would wait for a sale.

Im only a couple hours in. It feels like B tier third person shooter with abilities and stamina bar. Writing is cringe, if you played Destiny 2: Lightfall its close to it. Performance is utter trash on 5700x/6700xt at 1080p. Cant rebind controls on controller. I cant say anything positive about this game, the predecessor was better in every way. If i bought it for full price i would have felt scammed.

Edit 1: Finished the game. Final boss is atrocious. Felt like playing a Dark Souls 2 character in Dark Souls 3 settings.

The only good thing i have to say about the game is that level design is really good when compared to the rest of the game and other souls-likes but only because developers went for 1-1 copy cat of dark souls 3(linear map, some shortcuts, well designed combat encounters), every other aspect of the game is sub par.

Edit 2: Nearly 2 years after release, the game still runs like trash unless you enable frame gen. No controller rebinding in 2025.
The game has weapon sway mechanic(crosshair just moves on its own while aiming) that cannot be disabled. Sick ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanic.
DO NOT dare to Alt-Tab while running in a Fullscreen mode, the game will crash like 80% of the time.

Edit 3: DLC's are quite good. They are the best content that the game has to offer.

If you enjoy souls game formula and you dont mind it being open world its very enjoyable experience.

Combat feels amazing(its not Dark Souls, playing like its Dark Souls ends up with 'You Died' screen), controls are responsive. Melee and Magic based character are well balanced and plenty powerful.

Itemization is sick, there are build paths on top of build paths from the moment you finish the tutorial area. And if you decide that you want to be a mage on top of wearing heaviest armor and swinging an axe thats twice your size nothing stops you.

Exploration in open world is done quite well, there are plenty of secret areas, dungeons and bosses to find. Rewards are often disappointing/borderline useless, there are very few useful items to be gathered from smaller caves/catacombs/dungeons.

The game just grows in size, you might think that you are halfway done and then the map expands. Then you check out the new region you discovered and then it expands like 4 or 5 more times. Its great. You could be finding new areas well over 60-80 hours into your playthrough.

In Elden Ring if you see something on the horizon you can reach it. Its true from the very beginning to the very end of the game. After you are done with the tutorial, the 1st thing you see far, far away is 2nd to last areas in the game. Its amazing.

Graphics are okay. Game doesnt look breath taking even on highest settings, but some people saying it looks like a ps3 game are just wrong.

Soundtrack is another masterpiece by FromSoftware composers.

Negatives: The game has 165 bosses. A grand total of 11 of them are unique. Copy-paste is kinda ridiculous. Side dungeons offer very little of any value after 1st playthrough.

From technical point its an okay experience. You get up to 60 fps, but the game does stutter, no matter what specs you have. Its not unbearable, but noticeable. Both of these issues can be fixed with mods(which is kinda ass, they should be fixed by the developer). You can rebind both mnk and controller control schemes. Game is actually playable on mouse and keyboard, but controller is recommended.

I play this game in offline mode, cant speak about multiplayer. As a single player experience this is the best game i have ever played.

Shadow of the Erdtree is just more of the same but somehow even better than the base game.

Game used to be great, peaking in 2017(forsaken), 2022(witch queen), 2024(the final shape).

I will never recommend playing it due to removal of content(DCV) that me and many others payed for, that to this day is inaccessible.

Game is a cash cow for the devs, its dead to me at this point. Star Wars expansion + absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gameplay reveal of the Edge of Fate shows Bungie priorities. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Cheaters and bots ruined the game. Valve does nothing to combat them.

Update as of April of 2025: Nothing has changed.

Game is in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ state, but it looks pretty. Not recommended.
