I, as of tonight have 51 hours played, and have been nonstop in the game for those 51 hours. Through all those hours, I've missed quests, haven't even come close to seeing more than half of the map yet, and have encountered only a portion of the many mobs and boss types to fight within the game. I have not played a prior Dragon's Dogma and this was my very first experience, with all of it being streamed on my YouTube channel.

This is one of the most incredibly expansive environments I've seen, with insanely unique factors. There's never a dull moment, because at some point you will fight something, no matter what. At some point, you'll experience an entirely different weapon type within your vocation, or you'll simply experience the vastly different combat style of a different vocation altogether. There is variety, and a lot of it should you choose to delve into it. This next one could be viewed as a pro or a con depending who you ask, but I think that the need for active thought and being thorough in exploration in order to find all the quests, hints, and interact with the right people to branch out into sporadic events and story is incredible. Why give me every answer when you could let me live what is damn near an invested alternate life, with NPC characters that each move independently in day to day life and have their own problems for you to help solve. There's a sense of purpose given the fact that you have to care for your pawns, and protect them as much as they protect you to insure they don't become afflicted with Dragon's Plague, and either kill off an entire town, rendering it utterly devoid of purpose, or simply sacrificing them to a creative death to ensure the disease doesn't spread. The fact that each support pawn you hire has a chance at being unique adds another level of variety to the playthrough. One time closer to the beginning, it was all just heals and basic elemental attacks. The next thing you know, I hire some pawn a player had made that was made with absolute care to detail. This mage enhanced all of my fights, balancing the playing field by enchanting my weapons with ice/fire and curing my debilitation to keep me on my feet, delivering effective long term damaging blows to enemies I was having trouble with, and of course, I sent the pawn back to their master with new area knowledge to share, and some worthwhile gifts to benefit their master who I had definitely outleveled. The pawns are unique, and worth gaining an understanding for, and I look forward to trying something vastly different in my next playthrough. Every time I play, I slow down more and more, walk more often instead of running, leaving no stone unturned so that I can find the things I've never seen before. After about 1000 hours I may finally be able to 100% it, but there's really no telling, and that's just part of the adventure. The next time I play through completely after my first one is complete, I will cover every inch of the map, talking to every person I see until I've truly mastered the expanse of this huge world.

Alright. I've been playing this game periodically for around 53 hours at this point. Let's go over things shall we?

Advice to new players:
Trying to build your business fast? Slow is fast, and fast is slow. Make everything you do have purpose. It can be exciting to go ahead and buy up a truck first thing and take out a big loan from the bank, but remember that level dictates. As in almost every game, you'll have to level up to unlock things. I haven't bought a single truck yet in my new profile because I am not of a high enough level to get a good truck for high weight cargo. I've got 100,000$ saved and I'm not even close to the level required to get a max sized truck with a sleeper. With this being said, I recommend saving your money and getting to about level 23 where you can buy a stock model of just about every truck from what I've seen. By the time you get that level you should easily have half a million in the bank. That should allow you to buy decent trucks for you AND whatever employees you start off with.

Aside from a chill game that lets you drive, explore, and work a business to occupy your brain and your time, this game truly does make me happy in other ways. I drove through my hometown in the Montana map expansion and drove past the county courthouse and it made me homesick in a good way. Perfect attention to detail made downtown feel like I was there yesterday, and I drove past the same sidewalk I used to walk every day when I worked my Armed Private Security job years ago. Honestly getting over the learning curve has been a fun challenge. It's more complicated than other MOBAs, and I am WAY late to the party, but I can confidently say as I make more and more progress with understanding items, abilities, and how everything pairs up, I'm gaining a competitive edge that is quite fun to mess with.

Getting straight to business here. It's a great game with a wonderfully orchestrated story, but the missions are quite repetitive and optimization isn't great, which results in a 3.5GHz system with a GeForce RTX 2070 freezing up and throttling out. In all honesty Hangar 13 has been a great company in the past, so the fact that they're short cutting crucial performance margins is a pit off-putting for the company as a whole. For this reason, and this reason alone, the game is unplayable for me until I can figure out how to get into the settings without freezing, and I cannot recommend the game to anyone who doesn't have an excessively powerful machine.

I don't need to go into detail because in a game this good, those count as spoilers. Can't knock classic graphics when you have rainbow tornado knives, can ya?

I'm sorry but, this honestly makes me wish more than ever that you could get a refund on ♥♥♥♥ games.

I had high hopes, the game was released. A good time leap after that, I entered the game after purchase, and it was flawed immensely. It was as if development had no focus towards optimization at all, and the animations were choppy, insanely simplistic, the control layout sucked, the emotes were dry or stupid, the walking to foot movement speed ratio was off significantly, and the questing and interface interactions were sour. It was a great attempt at a game, but it's just not cutting it. We'll see later, considering I payed for this, maybe it'll end up being worth my time. I'll keep checking gameplay videos up to current.

This is a really great game. Immersive. It has it's ups and downs, however, and I'd really like to point them out:

Bad:
- The Hunger and Thirst becomes greater to quickly, to where you have to focus more on food than actually obtaining gear, especially for water. I suggest less moldy food content, and more benificial, as it seems, especially in multiplayer, that you die of disease if you want to live through hunger.

- Zombie Spawns are iffy, as in easy mode, there aren't enough to satisfy a player's trigger-happy antics, however, the difficulty should only apply to the difficulty, such as shots per kill, or zombie behavior

- They need to implement a way to store gear in chests or boxes, so that you can return and switch out gear in a city (Single Player only)

- Crafting needs to be more customizable, as far as the menu goes, it's not so specific, more jumbled. It takes a bit of learning to pinpoint the recipes without a guide, and some of the recipes don't make sense. Also, bags should be able to store more, or else ammo and tools need to have seperate tabs in the inventory. If not, ammo clips should stack in some way , based on type.

Good:
Game has dynamic aim, and a gun customization build that is really great. They really did get into the aspect of tactical approach that is underrated in some cases, as you do manage to look around corners to sneak a crossbow headshot.

This game is a splendid display of futuristic battle and society. There's many ways to explain this game, but the one word that stands out in it is "detail". Nobody in a future game has really gone this in-depth. You either find some game where you're jammed in a space-ship and can't explore, are commanding troops without seeing them, or something lame like that, but this is great!

This game may be in a basic platform and simplistic type of animation, but don't let that turn you away. This game is the ultimate in midieval strategy. It takes place in... well. wherever you really want it to. You place your kingdom, or have it placed randomly, it doesn't matter, however your placement can change who is your ally, and who's at your throat. As a general tip, you should choose a name that isn't offensive or brutal, otherwise that could influence people to attack you. This game is not exactly hostile, but if you make people angry, there can be great wars that could wipe you off the maps, so choose carefully your words, your contacts, and your alliances, along with your enemies!
