***Teeny Tiny Spoilers***

SOMA is, without a doubt, a horror game in a class of it's own. The pacing, the atmosphere, EVERYTHING this game has to offer is perfectly executed. And to someone like myself that doesn't get scared easily... this terrifies me to my core. But, I still come back to it, over and over.

If you want a truly mind-shaking experience, I urge you to pick up this title. Not only is it a horror game among horror, it is an incredible, cautionary tale about the meaning of sentience, the meaning of existing, and the definition of "life" itself. SOMA is brilliant. SOMA is incredibly deep.

SOMA is incredibly terrifying.

I've seen this game floating around for a long time, and fell in love with the art style and general theme to it. I'm a sucker for EARLY cartoons and jazz. Not to mention, it looked like a solid game. So, here we are.

This is everything I had hoped for, and more. It definitely holds true to the run 'n gun style, gives great boss fights that are CHALLENGING, but not hard. And, there are even platforming levels sprinkled in every isle.

The controls are solid, and you never feel like the game is unfair. It's a great, challenging game with a whimsical atmosphere, amazing music (I bought the Deluxe version so I could be enthralled by this amazing soundtrack), and all-around engaging experience.

I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone who loves a good challenge. :)
