I played only as ayame for a bit, and I guess it's fun.

Answer:
YES!

Summary of the game:
This game is an assymetrical game, each match consist of 1 Hunter and 5 Scavengers.
Scavenger's objective is to collect blood from blood pile and deliver it to a blood post while evading The Hunter.
The Hunter's objective is to prevent Scavengers from completing their objectives by..... hunting and killing them.
All happening within an 8 minutes match.
And also there's a lot of dedicated server, so you don't have to worry about connection.

Well, It is still in early access, so the players can give a lot of feedback to the devs. (Through official discord, community hub, etc)
And in return the devs also made changes according to the feedback to make the game better and more balanced.
Even in its current state, this game is better than DbD, its older brother with similar gameplay and theme.

As TydeTyme said in one of his videos, (And i'm paraphrasing),
"Why didn't I play DbD anymore? Because Deathgarden is better, in every way, Deathgarden fixes a lot of the problem in DbD. In DbD, the chases are too slow, and playing as survivor in DbD is not as rewarding as playing as Scavenger in Deathgarden."

Objectively,
With the recent major update, as Scavenger you are not executed as quickly as before, you have more option in gameplay, and now you can get a lot more things done better than before.
And as a Hunter, you still has your power role, you hunt scavengers, and still get lots of points for that.

It's fun, exciting, and both role has proper chance in completing their objectives.
And as such, I definitely recommend this game.
