This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rocked. It's sad to see it go.

Here's to hoping that some kind souls will start up some community servers and possibly bring this game back.

I love the idea they were going for with this game, but it's not quite as good as I'd hoped.

Not quite as much depth as I would have hoped. The Workshop for this game is awful, and the vanilla assets leave a lot to be desired.

I'm sure the game will greatly improve in the future, but as of right now I just personally feel that it's not worth the price.

Dead by Daylight used to be my game of choice, but I fell out of love with it. This game has been the perfect replacement.

I loved playing Dead by Daylight in its infancy. It was fun, it was my niche, and I always withstood the growing pains through its early days, and headaches it gave me. This game has been a perfect replacement, without any of the growing pains and the headaches.

The graphics are unreal (minimum spec players beware), seriously beautiful. The horror aspect is done just perfect. Not too "scary", but also not for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I can't even play alone, I've gotta be playing co-op. The horror is also perfectly balanced with humor. The circumstances of the game-being captive in a facility and being forced to run these trials of demonic and extremely brutal challenges-is so horrifying and absurd that it actually ends up being more funny than anything.

The gameplay is smooth and satisfying. Clearly the work of well-seasoned developers. I've personally never played any of the previous Outlast games, as I am not a fan of singleplayer horror experiences, but I can see why so many have enjoyed Red Barrels' previous work. They've done a wonderful job of making the game have a fairly challenging learning curve, yet still be exhilarating and absolutely worth playing for even the most novice of players.

It also seems that, the way they've set the game up, they'll never run out of new content, unless they have to stop putting time into the game (say if there is not enough active players, not enough money rolling in to pay the bills). As niche as it is, that is certainly a possibility, but I'm hoping it won't be the case.

Bonus points: the dialogue and voicelines between the NPCs is just hilarious. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cherry on top!

My only regret is being too busy in the day-to-day to give this game the playtime it deserves.

I haven't had this much enthusiasm about playing a party game, and it's been awhile since I've had this much enthusiasm about playing any game at all.
