I have very mixed feelings about the game. I don't often write reviews but for this one I felt like I needed to. The game has a very high positive score which made me try the game. And I'd like to mention the problems I encountered before anyone else gets it thinking it'll be gold. The game is capped at 30 fps, which for a game like this wouldn't matter that much but when your cursor is delayed and stutters around just to select a choice, it is pretty bad. And also feels very sluggish in the menu. You can force the game in 60 fps, but it'll speed up the gameplay as well. But, that's the least of my problem when it comes to this game. I really like story rich games where choices matter but some of the outcomes on certain choices made absolutely zero sense. Which is very unfortunate because the game itself has a great art style, is well voiced and has good music.

Here's an example, spoiler warning:

Example:
You're playing as a family man that is on the run to start a new life together with his daughter, wife and dad. Somewhere down the road you'll bust your car and end up spending a night in a motel. Whilst there you encounter a group of thugs/thieves that just recently stole from the police Chief's house. They are trying to lay low in that same motel. Armed and all they take you hostage to keep quiet. More dialogue later you end up in a bullet frenzy where the police is trying to take down the robbers. Things go south and you basically manage to get your daughter out of there as well as the rest of your family.

The building turns into a fire pit and you're stuck trying to find your way out. Once you're outside you find yourself facing off one of the robbers until your daughter comes along in the scene. You're confused. Wasn't she already safe some time ago when you managed to get them out? Well, little Zoë missed her dad so much that she figured she'd come looking for him in a building that's on fire. No to mention, little Zoë over here is only six years old. Yep. Oh you think that was stupid? Well, these robbers find it rather helpful to have little Zoë as a hostage for on the road. You as the dad and the family man wouldn't want that to happen right? So, you offer yourself as a hostage instead of little Zoë. You manage to convince them that they should take you. Great! Alright, now say goodbye to Zoë, because she'll be crying and left behind in a building that's falling apart from bloody fire. Yay. Oh and did I mention that the motel they were staying at was completely surrounded by the police with snipers, lights and a helicopter? Well these robbers manage to get away in a vehicle without ever been spotted. Possible right? But a motel in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ desert?!?!

Now there are quite a few more of these stupid and very unrealistic outcomes, you might not always encounter them if you pick certain options, but for me it broke the immersion pretty bad.

Conclusion
I experienced mixed feelings playing the game, it's pretty short, about 7 hours and some of the outcomes were very unrealistic and just outright bad. I've played story rich games before such as Detroit: Become Human and the Life is Strange series. I'd recommend those over this one. Though this game is definitely worth the play just not for 30 bucks. I got the game on discount and would wait for one.

What is sleep... it's been a blast so far! The stealth is a huge improvement from the previous titles. Going loud is also very well done. Gameplay-wise, excellent! There are some QoL features missing and the UI could do with a little bit of extra work. But very solid!

- Edit: The game still needs a long way, but they have improved and updated the game a lot and very well at that. With the recent news that came out I hope this game will survive, share them some love. <3

It's worth the playthrough! The world is beautifully designed with lots of details and it gets really immersive when you play on a higher difficulty. My first playthrough was on Survival I, and my second (new game+) on Survival II. Having no HUD and not being able to fast-travel brings not only challenges but it soaks you in. I felt relaxed driving around the world poppin' heads. Story-wise, it was okay. A few twists here and there but not something that'd stick with me. Also ♥♥♥♥ Skizzo.

The missions at the start are awesome but as you progress the missions get a bit repetitive and I felt like they may have lost the energy to keep missions interesting. Though, mowing down a horde never gets old. The first horde got me on my toes from start to end, literally used every consumable, every bullet and every bolt I had left. The moment you realize your character isn't an athletic and your stamina is almost gone, that liquid people call "sweat" starts to come in play. :>

So, I just finished the game about twenty minutes ago and man... what a roller coaster. Detroit: Become Human is story-rich and has amazing quality, seriously. Even the menu was better than any other menu I have seen. It's not just the gameplay itself which is amazing but it's all the niche little details that you start to notice, the sudden and sometimes quick decisions that you have to make and the story behind each individual character. The animations are spot on and the atmosphere leads to true immersion.

If you've enjoyed playing Life is Strange 1 and/or 2 then this game is of similar quality, very story-driven, not difficult to play but the decisions you have to make can be tough! It comes with plenty of extra's as well, such as concept art, soundtracks, the making of- videos, extra information about all the characters and even a fun survey that made me think twice.

I'd highly recommend this game if you enjoy story-driven games in which you have to make choices. The game ran very smooth and I had no issues. The controls are sometimes a little iffy so I'd suggest playing with a controller. The only 'real' issue I encountered about twice throughout the whole game was a graphic card error, which crashed the game twice, after doing a research I noticed that it's an issue with the latest GPU drivers, but has been around for some months now. I could restart my game and it worked fine after, I hope they'll fix that.
