The jumpscares are very loud and I nearly ♥♥♥♥ myself every time I play it.

Devour definitely has a different feel than other games just like it. This is a very interactive game with a lot of objectives that makes it progressively harder. Its better to play with more people than <2 people because then it takes longer to complete sessions of the game.
