I have a feeling that there's some underlying issues concerning performance with this game. On one system, an i5 4460 with 16 gb of ram @1866 and a 1050ti runs the game at a constant 60fps at 1080p with 2x on AA and AO turned off. However, on another system i tested with an i7 4790k OC to 4.6ghz with 32 gb of ram and an MSI 1070 and with the same settings it struggles to maintain 45-50fps. Basically, I'd wait for the game ready drivers to drop for NieR Automata. I can't say how AMD performance is, but i assume it's having similar problems based on seemingly random factors. The game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great, and i guess i'll be settling with running it on my less powerful rig in the living room for now, being it performs better on that system.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Just saying that over and over again to your friends, the colon makes it tedious) is actually a proper and needed remake of BOI. The optimization is miles better than the original, which at some point recommended having a 5.0ghz or higher processor. I did have some problems with it hogging up quite a bit of my VRAM on the first launch and lagging a bit, but after a quick forcequit of the game and a relaunhc it ran beautifully. The music is meh this time around, it isn't done by Danny, so I'd recommend listening to your own tunes. Which may be hazardous, being in the deeper levels the only tell that Mother's severed hand will descend upon you is an audio queue, among other things. Hopefully some marvelous modder will fit in the original music somehow. Otherwise, fairly solid game, art style has gotten a bit grimmer, which is fine in my book. The fact that you can have primary and secondary keys for each action, as well as proper controller support with the same functionality, is fantastic. However, using the mouse in place of the arrow keys(or whatever you bind shooting to) is no longer an option, but hopefully will make a return in a future patch. You can't adjust resolution this time around, either. The variation in items and characters is great, with a rebalancing of pre-existing characters and a bit of an update to their sprites to fit with the art style. The new items are pretty fun, adding more variation, and enemies are much more varied this time around, and the AI on pre-existing mobs have been changed a bit, so veteran players will have to re-learn mob behavior. I've played about 3 games, all of them getting to atleast mom, and it seems to go by quite a bit faster now, with time to get to mom and completely searching all floors (unless an arcade pops up) taking 30 minutes at the most. Oh, and Local Co-op has been added, but I have yet to mess with it at all.
