I was sure that I was going to buy Never Second in Rome after playing A Legionary's Life.
I absolutely haven’t regretted that decision.

I LOVE the new fight system – it is much, much more transparent and makes it easier to predict what will happen. While playing this game, you have to remember that it is essentially just rolling dice with extra steps, but if you find that fun, it’s absolutely great.

The only thing I miss from A Legionary's Life is the meta-gaming aspect with its replay value. I will return to Never Second in Rome when new content is added, but for now, after one playthrough (I won on my first try – this game is much easier and more forgiving), I have no reason to go back.

If you liked A Legionary's Life, you should definitely give Never Second in Rome a try.
