Excellent single player VR game; probably the first truly AAA VR experience. Although HL:A doesn't have the range of control that some comparable VR games have, the level of polish and narrative elevate it to an outstanding level. The gameplay departs from classic HL2 FPS action, focusing on resource management and short, intense fighting to compensate for limitations in physical and simulated VR mobility. Not a masterpiece from a pure game perspective given its limitations, but definitely pushes VR forward as a platform, and hopefully attracts other large developers and innovations to VR. Well deserving of its 9.X/10 reviews.
