People ♥♥♥♥ on BF2042 for its terrible launch. This MWII launch is right up there with a horrible launch as well.

A lot of the criticisms aimed at BF2042 when it launched can be translated to MWII's launch:

Limited map selection
Terrible UI/user flow
Removal/change of franchise-staple features
Numerous visual bugs/glitches

The core gameplay loop is fine. It's COD, just slowed down from last year.

The rest of the experience sucks. Loading into a game as a party keeps breaking (need to re-form the party), the screen freezes when someone joins/leaves your party, inviting friends is hidden behind 3 or 4 button clicks, the new weapon system is fine but the UI for it is confusing, the game is stupid loud when you load into a map (even if you turn down your volume), etc.

The one thing the game has going for it is the performance, it runs well. It's a visual improvement from MW2019 as well, but nothing groundbreaking.

Do you like cars? Do you like helicopters or planes? Do you like explosions? Then this game is the game for you! Experience high explosive action and great vehicle physics in the beautiful multiplayer mod of Just Cause 2!
