Should it be in the base game? Yes. Is it necessary? Also yes.
But I give it a thumbs up because these have Gmod-like physics and I die laughing whenever they throw me 100 ft into the sky from driving onto a lookout point or combust because they got stuck in a tent or get launched because they spawned inside of each other. If nothing else, just for the entertainment factor alone, it gets my thumbs up.
Also they open up a chase, dismount, and mag dump hunting style.

This and DR1 on a wheel probably saved my life on a few occasions when my real car oversteered unexpectedly a bit and muscle memory kicked in and I was able to not die.

Early Access Review
Usually I don't do horror games, but this one's pretty fun. You're not really forced to go in and do stuff, but doing so collects evidence that you have to think about to deduce what kind of ghost you're dealing with. No "real" jumpscares either, but still pretty scary. Just knowing the ghost is around and after you with your equipment starting to malfunction and your heart racing is plenty.

I asked a ghost if they liked CBT on the Ouija board, and it immediately went to yes. Unfortunately, they killed my friend the moment he stepped in the house the next time we went in. CBT in peace.

Early Access Review
Very intense tactical shooter with stricter rules of engagement than your typical FPS. Arresting is encouraged and you can't shoot blindly without losing points. I'd recommend getting a group to play this, but there is a single player mode with commandable bots if that's what you'd prefer. If your teammates die and you're the last man standing, this turns into a horror game. The AI could use some tweaking as they run and gun and kill you in like a single Makarov shot even with heavy armor, but there are mods for fixing that, and the devs are working on it.

It is in early access and it has been confirmed that those weird voicelines are mostly placeholders but it is very clear to me that active development is happening. For example, one day I wasn't able to shoot out lights, but the next day I was, with a dubious effect on actual gameplay at the moment.

For those that say that this game glorifies the police, I beg to differ; I take this game's perspective as just depicting a grim reality for those in a SWAT line of work, and feeling the pressure of intense split-second decision making isn't something most of us are accustomed to. So some might see the difficulty in this game as glorifying police work, but to me, this is just what happens in this atmosphere and not necessarily a glorification of anything. Certain things like how killing a civilian or reporting an unconscious person are handled could be seen as insensitive, but then again, that is how a hard-boiled SWAT team would look at it after doing this day in and day out.

The gunplay feels a bit like Insurgency: Sandstorm, which I like. This game aims for a more tactical and realistic depiction of actual gunfights, with slower movement and intense suppression effects. It might be repetitive, but spawns of civilians and suspects are different every time with multiple ways of going about a mission each time. Overall, I'm enjoying the game, and I'm looking forward to future updates.

Apparently, all Nazis ever talked about was how they never get their mail.

Compared to SE3, SE4's stealth and relocation is more in depth and less formulaic. In SE3, one shot from your rifle would alert everyone to check your exact position and you would only cool down when you moved far away enough, but in SE4 no one is really sure where you are depending on how far you were when you shot. The scenery changes more than in SE3 which makes for less repetitive gameplay. Also, suppressed ammo is kind of op. I just wish you could crouch walk a bit faster so you can melee people that are walking more quickly.

Free to play top down shooter, takes very little to run. Great with friends that aren't hardcore gamers, anyone can play and run this.
