I really loved this game. As far as gameplay and ambiance, the art, sound design, and exploration-based gameplay make for an unsettling experience that feels so much like stepping into a horror story. But where it really shone for me is in the story. There are a couple endings, so how you feel about the game will depend on how deep you delve, but there's a really stunning story here about grief, love, friendship, and the darkness that exists within us all.

Depending on if you get stuck or if you want to explore other endings, you'll probably get a good 3-4 hours out of this game, and I think it's worth it - especially if you're good with the adventure point and click-style gameplay with a heavy emphasis on story.

(thanks to Dangen for a free review copy - I don't always add these to steam, but I'd really love to see this game and studio get the love they deserve, and I hope they have more on the way)

First and foremost, I received this game for free in return for an honest review.

Luckily, it's a really great point and click! I've been looking forward to this one a long time and I was very happy with the final release - the puzzles are approachable and some of them are really clever/entertaining. The atmosphere is creepy, unsettling, and mysterious. The characters are really well done and the voice acting is some of the best I've found in an adventure game. Loved the nostalgic atmosphere and how the darkness of the story builds up. Very easy recommendation if you like horror and point and click adventure games.

This is a surprisingly interesting and beautiful little game, which takes about 30 minutes to play through. It does cut off right when you discover some more of the fascinating story, so I truly hope we get more in the future!

Still, it's definitely worth the quick playthrough on its own.

When we started playing it seemed pretty silly , but the atmosphere and jumpscares outweigh any downsides pretty quickly. I completely recommend this as a multiplayer game more than anything.

I really wanted to love this. The first game is one of my favorite horror experiences, and I was excited to finally have something that hit that sweet spot again.

The art, atmosphere, and music are excellent. The story, as expected, is sad and haunting. The ship setting works well, and never constrains the exploration factor.

The addition of hunter/hunted mechanics was a big letdown, and they just felt really unnecessary. I'm not sure if they thought it needed more gameplay mechanics? In the end all the active-time mechanics felt forced and unnecessary - they just distracted from an otherwise excellent atmosphere and storyline.

I would say this is a solid horror game, but it relies on horror clichés that you can find in plenty of other titles as well. I probably wouldn't recommend it to those who loved Layers of Fear due to its atmosphere.

This is a really great co-op game - especially considering it's free. The eerie atmosphere never lets up, making you feel like something is waiting around every corner. With completely puzzle based gameplay, this is probably one of my favorite horror games - the focus is on atmosphere, teamwork, and thinking your way through.

There's not a lot here storywise yet, but We Were Here Too fills in a lot of those blanks if you're compelled to continue

Early Access Review
A lot of fun if you have a group of people to play with - I'm not sure I'd do it alone.

I was really torn on this game. I didn't necessarily dislike it, nor did I like it. I fall somewhere in between here - I think plenty of people could fully enjoy this game. I'm just not one of them.

The art is gorgeous, and the characters are fun to talk to. If you fail a puzzle, your prince will be cursed and you'll get a new one, picking up where you left off. The story is simple, but cute, and I kind of enjoyed the dialogue.

The puzzles were... not really enjoyable. Searching the stained glass art for interactive objects could be a pain, and the actual puzzles were often things like "click this stuff." If it weren't such a short game, I might have quit.

The insult to injury came when I finished the game and needed to painstakingly uncurse every prince. Good lord that was not fun.

Overall, it is a cute game with gorgeous art. I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless I knew for sure this is their style.

Probably the best walking sim I've ever played. The atmosphere is both unsettling and beautiful, and as the tragic stories hidden here unravel, you'll find yourself both heartbroken and amazed. It's a short play, but absolutely worth it.

Do yourself a favor and go in as blind as you can.

Cat Quest is missing a lot of depth - most of the story is generic, and running around the map gets old fast. But I'm in love with the punny dialogue, various side stories, and adorable details. If you really like the surface look of Cat Quest, it's really worth and the gameplay is pretty nice. Just don't expect anything amazingly deep and new.
