This DLC Expansion is a must for any realistic military shooter fan. Before you get into contact, I'm gonna have to spill it for ya, this isn't The Battle of Los Angeles. Contact is about you, the player, the human. It's about what the military and humanity would do in a first contact scenario. You're not gonna be running around shooting Ayy Lmaos.

The campaign, in my opinion, is really good. It does an extremely good job of portraying that feeling of mystery. This campaign's primary focus isn't combat, it's exploration and scientific research. Don't let that discourage you tho, there are plenty of enemies that you can shoot and fight with, that just isn't the focus of the campaign. So, what's it like?

The core of the campaign is a semi-open world scenario in which you will have to go around, do research and find out why the aliens have come to Earth, to Livonia. You will have Eddie at your side, a trusty little robot to aid you while you roam trough fog and dark forests of Livonia. All of the characters that you will meet feel like actual people. The voice actors and producers have done a really good job and you will definitely have a few laughs and giggles. Pay attention to the conversations and what they're saying, because otherwise you will fail to understand what you need to do and ultimately ruin your experience because you will spend a godawful amount of time trying to figure out what you're supposed to do.

The Contact expansion isn't just the "First Contact" campaign, it also offers a new map and a bunch of premium and free assets to any Milsim or casual player who wants to improve their regular Arma 3 experience.

As a final note, I must talk about the performance. The performance of the new map is terrible compared to other Arma 3 maps, even Tanoa. The reason for that is that the buildings have been ported from DayZ and haven't been optimized for Arma 3 yet. This means that no matter how good your PC is, you will get lower fps than usual.

Remember, If you decide to get this DLC, do yourself a favor and don't go in expecting to fight the aliens like in "The battle of LA". Instead you will get 8 to 12+ hours (depending on your desire to pursue all side missions and easter eggs) of a really immersive experience.

This game is straight out of 2007.

No, I don't mean the graphics and gameplay. The game has pretty solid graphics and is decently optimized. Combat its really good and refined. It has a bit of a learning curve but shouldnt take more than a few hours to get the hang of it. Does take a while to master tho. The combat looks good, but more importantly FEELS GOOD and satisfying!

Customization is really good and not too grindy. The amount of medieval weapons that you can use is insane.

So, why is this a game straight out of 2007 you might ask? Well, its because it's a finished product as soon as you buy it. There are no paid micro-transactions, not lootboxes, no BS. You get what you paid for, even more, never less.

This game is the best $30 I've spent in 2019. If you so choose to buy it, I wish you good luck and (*in foppoish voice*) HAVE AT THEM BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYS!

The first impressions for this game are awesome. I love the way trench warfare is portrayed in this game and i have to say that the gameplay is fun beyond what i expected. I was very hyped when Battlefield 1 was announced because i expected some good trench warfare gameplay but i was very disappointed by it, tho thanks to Verdun my expectations were fulfilled and i get excited every time i enter an enemy trench with my trench club.

9/10

I really recommend the content,it is joyfull and gives a bit of advantage.Pros are the new rifles and MMGs aswell as Ghillie suits and some other stuff like Remote Designators and Target ballons. The only con which i didnt experience is the price.I am the Sniper/Team Designated Marksman in my team so i got the DLC from my teammates tho i know that its overpriced so i would recommend getting it on Steam summer sales or Bohemia Interactive Aniversary.

Watch out when looking at stuff added with the DLC,this DLC is not made to make people buy it because of the Bipods or Shooting from vehicles, those are the parts of a Free Platform Update which occured when the DLC was released, its a bit strange way Bohemia Interactive did this so alot people got confused cause they tought they need to buy the DLC to have the mentioned things.I recommend this DLC alot,it is the only helpfull DLC not like Karts.

Hope this helps you a bit.

The game as itself is good but that awful way of getting weapons is really annoying. The game includes tons of rifles and other weapons and every player has it's favourite,so everyone would like to have it's favourite weapon. But this way of getting weapons (Pay or lose) really kills all the joy of FPS games like this one. This is how it works:Get in game, lose 20 matches, get enough money to buy your favourite gun, enjoy 3 days(7 if you got a bit more money),after 3 or 7 days get message that says your gun has expired, piss off and stop playing this game.

If the Crytek would make it possible to get all the weapons without the need to pay for them, this game would be much funnier and enjoyable and the actuall gameplay could really be like in the trailers.
