I've not had so much fun role playing in a long time. Excellent voice acting. A great slow burn.

Easy to pickup but hard to master, it's a great game to relax with and a bit of good music.

I don't think I've gotten sucked into a game like this since I was a child. It reminds me of how I felt playing FF VII for the first time. For me it's a feeling i rarely get from games now days. This game is a master piece and you can tell its been crafted as a labour of love by the people who have worked on it and the first time you play it is something memorable.

The music is maybe my favourite thing from this game and incidentally is how I found it (thanks Spotify!), I absolutely love the outer wilds theme and how It's also used in such a unique way.

The story is not too short, captivating and makes you want to learn more. It can be a little difficult at times where you might get stuck but there is a great spoiler free guide to help you just a bit when you need it.

Graphics are good, nil bugs or crashes for me and despite the recommendation for a controller I much preferred playing on mouse and keyboard.

If you are looking for a new game to play I would grab this now at full price or wait for a steam sale.

Maybe game of the year for me. 10/10 marshmellows.

Great sense of humor and a fun half an hour. I liked the jokes in the toilet. Voice acting was good too.

Early Access Review
A 15 hour review.

This game is built on incredible squad-based gameplay and once you've mastered the basics, you'll struggle to find another game that gives you the same feeling of comradery. There is quiet a learning curve when you first start, but I found the community more than willing to help you learn the ropes. There is a massive breadth of roles to play in a squad, tanks are 3 man crews and require team work, the high damage TTK might turn you off initially but you'll quickly come to like it as it forces strategic play.

Run across and open field? - one shot and your down. Better take the fence line.

Firing is quickly met with some heavy suppression effects that further add to the strategic play values and immersion. At 15 hours in, I've still not mastered each role but I have been really enjoying playing as an officer and as the tank commander (who doesn't even shoot the tank). You might be a bit worried to use voice so much but it is a friendly environment and a great way to build your confidence.

Graphics are great, sound is good - with special mention to the winning songs.

What I don't like:
The learning curve is massive, and at first, I was disheartened and it took some time to understand the way maps work and how roles within squad’s work. There is also an awful lot of walking. The addition of some half-tracks for troop carrying would be a great feature and hopefully being in early access will happen eventually.

Final thoughts
This is a great game in its current state. The dev team are active and updates are frequent. I'd recommend picking this up in a sale, stick with it for a few hours to learn the basics and you'll have a blast in some of the best squad-based combat in years. This game scratched the Battlefield itch for me when BF V couldn’t.

A master peice of a game. Lovingly crafted and cared for by a dev who loves the community, as is evident in the continuned work long after the games release, all for free. Such practice is unheard of now days. ConcernedApe, you should be commened on your skill as a designer and for the devotion to this work of art you have lovingly made.

A great story teller. Short but enjoyable, perfect to sink a nights play into. Pick up on a sale. Explore everything too, there's no jump scares or horror play and the house is really well designed.
