Now I hesitate to call this game a game. Sure it's an interactive story, which makes it a game, but it's more an experience than a game. This is a shining example of why video games will never die out, because this story wouldn't work in any other format. You can't do the same thing in a book, or a movie, and I think that's special.

The game is so cleverly written, little hints here and there about it's true nature (that you only notice in hindsight) and it messes with the player in very interesting ways, adding new pictures and documents to the game folder being something I've only ever seen done once before in imscared. That comparison brings me to another point, the 'horror'.

Now the very first tag for this little adventure is 'psychological horror', and while I can see why it's earned that tag, I don't think that's the primary genre, for lack of a better word, for this game. But then again, I can't think of anything else to describe this. I think it comes back again to being an experience. Experience isn't a genre, but ♥♥♥♥ you, if the game's going to defy conventions then so will it's description.

Overall Doki Doki Literature Club is an incredibly game, easily one of the best I've played in recent years. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that lead developer Dan Salvato is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genius, and that the fact he's throwing this up for free is insane. Therefore I'll be purchasing the fan club pack, and I recommend everyone else who enjoyed this game do so too to support this extraordinary dev in making more extraordinary projects.

Not only is this a great game, with all sorts to do and tons to build, but it was made by a wee lad who's turning about 20 this year. And the game came out in 2014. Meaning he was a mere 17 years old, barely a hair on his chest. Yet Nelson Sexton is a great dev, very consistent with updates, and aside from crates and skins (a fairly recent addition) only asks for five measly schekels from you, but only if you want.

A+ Dev, A+ game. God speed Sexton.

Fast, brutal and awesome, Iron Snout puts you in the trotters of a ninja pig fighting off a horde of hungry wolves. A fun game to play when you're feeling like a quick thrill.

Pretty difficult, pretty fun. It's essentially a more open Paranautical Activity, and I absolutely love it.
However, I have to commend the developer. Giving the game away for free if they've done exceptionally well in another game? As far as I know, this hasn't been done before, and I greatly admire Dominic Obojkovits for it, and so should you.
