I'm one for good, rich stories in games. RAGE doesn't have that, in fact I'd say it hardly even has characters, just NPCs. Despite this Rage is still a great game. It's been slammed a lot for not living up to expectations but to be honest the game is exactly what it says on the tin so why complain? They were going for revolutionary graphics and great action, not depth of story, and they succeeded (I mean this is the same company that did Doom so ... you know). You know those awe-inspiring moments in games that give you goosebumps? Like in Fallout 3 when you emerge from the vault for the first time, or ascending above the clouds in Bioshock Infinite? That was how I felt when I stepped out into the world in this game. It's very atmospheric. Maybe there wasn't story to back this up but the gameplay was fast and fun, and always interesting so if that's what you like, it's not a bad game at all.
