Super fun, both gameplay wise, and lore/story wise.

This was my first introduction to the Souls-series (I have since this game also started playing Dark Souls 3, and plan on playing a few other Soulsborne games as well), and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't quite know what I was going into, but I enjoyed almost every aspect of it.

Gameplay wise, I enjoyed it being on the difficult side compared to other story games I've played before. It took a minute to get used to the mechanics, but I'd say I got the hang of it after only a little while.

For a brand new player, the story and objective of the game was a little hard to grasp at first. From my understanding, Elden Ring - compared to for example Dark Souls - is more of an "Open World" story game, rather than solely a story game. This means that you can explore and do a lot of things on the map that isn't just the story quests. As a first impression, the game doesn't give you many directives on how to progress the story, or where to go (at least that was my impression, as a new Souls player), and it was quite difficult to understand bits of the story, and what your purpose as Tarnished was. This however changed when I learned that you could read A LOT of story and lore from item descriptions, which awakened so much interest in the game for me. I've spent hours listening to different YouTube documentaries and theories of different aspects of the game's backstory and its amazingly intriguing characters, and it is almost overwhelming how good of a job the people behind the story have done.

All in all, I highly recommend anyone to play this game.

A really cool short game, I love the tracks and music in the background, there was one annoying buzzing sound for me but that might just be my ears playing with me =3. I personally really enjoyed the game, it required a bit of thinking and puzzling on some parts, while the boss fight was more of a strategic part of the game. A little bit sad that it was completable in under an hour but I guess we can't have everything we want can we?

I recommend this game!
