the classic fortress shooter.

Team Fortress Classic is a class- and team-based multiplayer online first-person shooter video game developed by Valve and published by Sierra Studios. A port of the Team Fortress mod for Quake/QuakeWorld, Team Fortress Classic was originally released for Windows on April 1, 1999 as a mod for Half-Life and based on the Half-Life Engine (Gold Source Engine). A standalone version was later released on January 16, 2003. The development of Team Fortress Classic was led by John Cook and Robin Walker, two of the three designers from Team Fortress.
The game itself involves a number of teams, each with access to ten classes, competing in a variety of modes such as Capture the Flag, Control Point, and Escort. In June 2000, the game underwent a significant upgrade, adding new player character models and game modes. As of 2003, the game was one of the ten most played Half-Life mods according to GameSpy. Today, as with its predecessor, Quake Team Fortress, it is not very active, and as such, there are few servers with humans on them, and bots prosper in the majority of servers. Your server browser can pick up at most 100 or more servers.

Reminds me of Quake alot. The game is fast paced and full of action. A must buy in my opinion, especially if it is on sale any computer can run this. Looking at the games population, it completly depends on the time you are on. You will find at least 1 game with 5-10 people though so that shouldn't be an issue (and sometimes the population is like zero ;/). Overall a great example that graphics dont matter.

The game is beautiful. Graphics dont matter at all, it doesn't make a game great. All graphics do is appeal to the eye, but the game itself appeals to me because it's a F2P Coop game and it's very fun and enjoyable!

Half-Life combines great storytelling in the tradition of Stephen King with intense action and advanced technology to create a frighteningly realistic world where players need to think smart to survive. Half-Life has won more than 50 Game of the Year awards from publications around the world, and was named 'Best PC Game Ever' in PC Gamer's November 1999 issue.

The hours you see logged for this game under Steam are WAY off. I didn\'t make the switch from WON to Steam until it was forced on us in 2004.

1 word... Nostalgia

the best.

CS:GO Review
I should have done this much earlier... but whatever:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a first person, action shooter.... At which there are two teams Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists. The main objective is to ethier kill all the opposing players, or wait on the time of the bomb planted, or the Counter-Terrorists bring a hostage to a there spawn location (depending on the gamemode being played). Many people find this game enjoyable for the amount of skill potential for each player, many players are ethier experienced or completly new which brings new aspects and stratagies to the game.

Ways to get better: In Counter-Strike Global Offensive: Beside the usual "Casual" mode, there is also Competitive which I would recommend becoming more experienced in the way the game is played before trying it out. There are ranks which people can show there set skill levels, this is dependent on how well you did per-game and if you won a set amount of games in a row. Now to get better in preperation for this I suggest playing on Valve deathmatch servers, than latter, FFA games in community browser. This helps you get used to how the controls work and how and what sensitivity and settings you will be using.

This game also is very fun in the aspect of weapon skins and collectable badges and such. You can gain a amount of weapon drops per week with a chance of getting a decent skin. This allows the community to put weapons on the Community Market and sell, and buy other skins. As well as this during "Operations", which are usually released at set time periods, you have a chance to get a even better skins and exclusive "things".

I hope this helped some of you that are ethier new, or just are confused on how CS:GO in general works. If you have anymore questions you can always add me ore ask me on my profile! :)
