I rarely bother writing out reviews for games but I feel I need to for this one because I refunded it after only a couple tracks and genuinely feel bad about doing it and want to try giving hopefully constructive feedback for the developer - This isn't a bad game by any means, if like me you miss the old school Sega Rally / Daytona look and feel of driving games - Old School Rally nails the look.

Even the driving physics are pretty good and the cars feel great to drive. The big issue really was the courses themselves FELT off, almost like it was a primitive version of Dirt 4's procedurally generated tracks, just bland and flat with a few curves and the occasional steep bump/ramp. There's something very sterile and corporate-feeling about the track design that I can't quite articulate, it feels like a commute in a rural area more than a rally?

I know this is early access, and things could change, but the locations are equally as important as the cars, and its the locations that need attention. This is a great game with great cars and driving feel, but the courses you get to drive them on aren't yet worthy of the cars themselves.

Shoot things until they die.

Would recommend for the shooting, but not for the horribly cringey story. This should have been a DLC for W:TNC.
