Beautiful art-style. Intriguing story. And engaging puzzles.

Jennifer Wilde: Unlikely Revolutionaries is an excellent Point-and-Click Adventure game set in 1920s Western Europe. Clearly inspired by Jazz Era literature and influences of the time, this game does an excellent job at establishing mystery and intrigue.

Art:

The art-style is breathtaking - clearly showcasing the passion and attention to detail that the team had when crafting this game. This holds true to the UI which manages to present as non-obtrusive and immersive in the case of the journal/case-solving segments.

Additionally, the stunning backdrops of Paris and many of the other locations in and around Jennifer Wilde: Unlikely Revolutionaries really help to immerse you

Lastly, the cutscenes and general mise-en-scene is spectacular. Once again you can tell how much passion has gone into this project.

Gameplay:

The general gameplay loop consists of talking with other characters and gathering evidence to paint a better picture of the incident that occurred - whether it be finding an item, completing a puzzle, or solving a murder case. You'll often find yourself jumping between many different locations and finding creative ways to solve a puzzle.

Other Notes:

Jennifer Wilde: Unlikely Revolutionaries is very short at around 3 hours of game time. However, each of those hours was spent thoroughly enjoying the game from it's brilliant art-style and UI, to the well-crafted story and game mechanics.

Conclusion:

Overall, Jennifer Wilde: Unlikely Revolutionaries is absolutely worth picking up. I have never been a massive fan of point-and-click adventure prior, but this game has certainly ignited my interest in the genre. Great work @Outsider Games, you all did an excellent job. Looking forward to your next big release! :)

Shrine is by far one of the most fun WADs I have played for DOOM 2. It is absolutely worth your time, and the fact this WAD is free is just the cherry on top. It has many pros and only a few cons:

Pros:
+ Level design is simple enough that you won't get lost, yet flows generally quite well and is aesthetically pleasing
+ The music and sound design in this WAD is pretty awesome as well - it fits well with the theme of an Eldritch HR Gieger-esque world by having some genuinely spine-shivering screaming that you can hear in some of the Eldritch dimension levels such as "The Womb"
+ Five difficulty settings effectively mirroring DOOM's difficulties (I suggest Sentinel difficulty for a challenging, but fair experience)
+ Weapon designs are really cool - you have some of your classic DOOM weapons remade such as the shotgun, double barrel shotgun, pistol, chainsaw, and chaingun - but you also have some completely new weapons that are honestly very refreshing - be careful using the grenade launcher though!
+ Monster designs are also really cool - again you have some of your classic DOOM enemies remade in an Eldritch style and some entirely unique enemy types - the enemies feel really great in-game providing a challenging, but fair experience

Cons:
- The Seraphim as an enemy type is really cool, however, it can be a major pain to deal with and I felt as though I had to spray and pray rather than deal with it in a tactical manner - perhaps others may find it less awkward to deal with, but from my own experience it was quite awkward to deal with :)
- Short levels! Its not a major con by any means, but the WAD is quite short with only 13 relatively small missions in comparison to other DOOM WADs or even DOOM II itself - you'll be able to finish the game in around 2 hours or less on Sentinel difficulty

All in all, Shrine is a brilliant WAD worth playing till the end - it has some great levels in there, awesome weapons and enemies, and a cool OST to go with it all - can't wait to play Shrine II next!

@ Dev/s, good job, keep up the great work :)

Have you ever played a zombie game and thought to yourself "this is too easy"? Do you crave some excitement and some truly terrifying zombies? Welcome to No More Room in Hell.

NMRiH is a First Person Shooter taking place in the midst of a zombie apocalypse and has been built using the Source Engine. This action packed thriller will have you on the edge of your seat as you fight through seemingly endless swarms of the undead and attempt to make it to safety, or perhaps to merely survive.

I have been playing this game for almost two weeks now and I must say - it is incredibly fun and challenging. There aren't many zombie games these days that really achieve the same feeling generated within this game. It isn't an easy game - it isn't for the weak of heart - you will have to fight to survive and even then you still may succumb to the endless hordes...

I personally enjoy producing maps for this game as well and so if anybody reading this enjoys or wishes to get into designing some levels for a zombie game - NMRiH has you covered. As a Source Based game you will use the Valve Hammer Editor tools to create your maps and you will be able to upload them to the Steam Workshop where others can play and give feedback on your levels.

Graphics, especially considering the original date of release, are quite good in my opinion. It carries a distinct Source feeling but also seems to go beyond that - and keep in mind this is a Independently Developed game which is free!

That brings me into another pull factor of this game - it's free! Let's be honest - free is a good price.

Additionally, sometimes I have needed to ask questions in relation to map making for this game and any time a Dev or other Map Maker has reached out to help they have always been exactly that - helpful!

Finally, NMRiH2 is going to be coming out in the future so why not get some target practice in!

So, in conclusion, should you get this game? Absolutely. And if you don't like it, that is okay! But I would highly suggest that you don't give up the opportunity to play this game.

138 hours played and yet I'm still finding new ways in which I can play ETW.

The game boasts a fun, and even kind of immersive kind of gameplay. Play as a major European power? Well, be prepared to defend your main European territories AND your colonies!

Play as a smaller nation, such as the Maratha Confederacy? Be prepared for a tough start!

Truly a remarkable game, and a must have for those interested in all things 1700-1800!
