Well this is unexpected and awesome! Feels like playing a lost F.E.A.R. game. Very well done so far, and perfectly captures shooters from the early 2000's. Like putting on an old comfy pair of slippers! Enemies dropping armor and health, no excessive cut scenes. I didn't realize how much I missed shooters like this!

Update: I changed to recommend, still not 100% sure on it, but there is a lot to like. Hopefully future updates will somehow give the players more tools to mitigate RNG in some cases.

So torn on this one, it's a fun little matcher with a few twists at first - but the RNG doesn't really lend itself well to this format. Like say you have to match green and then red or whatever (neat mechanic, ordered matches), but like there's maybe one red tile on the screen and you have no real powers to use because you just started. There's no amount of skill or strategy that will get you thru this. On the other hand, especially once you get a few items, you could do one match and hit a combo that kills a tough enemy instantly.

My first play through I won easily, I guess I was lucky enough to get a few items that gave me options (like resetting item combinations) And it got easier and easier. My next 10 or so, sometimes I died on the first enemy with no real way to have done anything about it.

I get it's a roguelike so some RNG is to be expected, but in this case it just isn't fun. There's no interesting choices to be made just pure luck.

Also no real bonus for multiple matches (like a 5 in a row, or an L or whatever), which I always find very disappointing in these games.

I might try it a few more times and see if I'm missing something obvious.

Descent+EV Nova in 3D? Yes please! Throw in some randomly generated encounter areas as well, and great graphics, and not a bad story either! So far this is great!

Sorry this feels like an early alpha build, let alone an Early Access title, let alone a released game.

It is waaay to bare bones. Menus don't work, no obvious way to exit. No instructions. Broken menus.

This is a very interesting game...or more of a playground so far. Mixes Minecraft like games and a Sim City sort of thing. Not sure yet how much is in there city management wise. The main draw here is creative sandbox building, you can build your own buildings, including items that go in those buildings. It is very easy to download other people's prefabs from Steam without leaving the game. In that respect it kind of reminds me of some parts of spore where your world could be populated by other peoples creations. Building in first person including vehicles and such does seem to add something to the experience.

It's a little janky and shallow, but if you're looking for some creative building it's pretty neat.

Tried a few times to get into it, but it's so rough, and is very painful to play and just...boring. It has lots of interesting ideas for levelling and I think I could get into something like this, but every UI, every control just seems poorly though out. Building is a wretched, tedious affair. The terrain generation looks interesting. The sound is terrible, and in many cases non-existent. Creatures will just silently and weirdly run up to you and you only know something is happening when your character starts getting hit. The graphics are awful, and if everything else was fun I could get past that.

It's like an old school MMO, with randomized worlds which is an interesting idea, but it is not implemented well.

This is a blast to play and i haven't touched the campaign yet. Spent the morning with my kids setting up armies to fight each other (or custom creatures). Could use some UI tweaks, but well worth the price!

Early in yet, but so far it's pretty good. Very interesting world. Super super hard (we'll see if i get my old Dark Souls skill back).

I love the world, and so much creativity. I've barely left the first open section and have found a lot of cool stuff.

Some of the menus are weird how you go in and out of them. There's not much info on anything which is both good and bad - like it's cool to explore a world without tiny checkpoints all over the place saying "look here!", and it's neat to figure out things for yourself. But like when I was given the summoning bell it took me awhile to figure out how to equip it and where, and I'm still not 100% sure when I can and can't use it.

If anything gets me it'll be the difficulty, it's really crazy. But it's hard to tell if i'm in an area I shouldn't be in or if i just suck (or both). You can go level up elsewhere, find other things, gain skill and come back easily enough.

Performance wise been fine, but I just play at 1080 and don't have an FPS counter or anything. I'm playing with an XBox One controller. Couple of stutters here and there, but I just you know, load it up and play and haven't had any issues.

Early Access Review
Like a super chill Carcasonne. Very relaxing and simple to play.
