Have only played around but this is already one of the coolest graphics tools! Everything seems to work well, there's tutorials etc. I'm already to get some really neat things done, and there seems to be a lot of capability for automation of tasks, for example I was quickly able to setup an automatic system for exporting colour adjusted versions of sprites. Like get the same adjusted tones for brick, clay etc auto outputted and filename appropriately.

Can't seem to do anything in any match - could use a tutorial to cover the basics at least?

So far it's a nice factory game. Curious to see how it proceeds! UI and functionality all works well, everything makes sense. Might be worth checking out now if you're a fan of the genre, or wait a bit and see how it pans out. But based on what they have so far, I think it's going to be great!

Simple, Addictive, Fun - what more can be said? I actually haven't played a lot of poker, but this game is still a lot of fun so far!

After many more hours I've actually soured on this
- a lot of stupid UI things, whether it be inventory management or trying to find crafting recipes
- the grind is real and not fun, like upgrade every piece of gear for every phase it seems
- general confusion in what to do a lot of the time, things just aren't explained well
- the unenjoyable game of "can i climb this?" - sure i've climbed the same thing before, but can I climb it this time?
- tedious puzzles - like I was doing a sequence puzzle spread across an annoying to traverse area that had SEVEN nodes. And it takes a full 30 seconds for it to run thru the sequence. So crawl all around, jump up etc finding nodes. If you just missed that one activating now you can wait another 30 seconds to figure out which order this one is in. Then on to the next, then time to finally enter the sequence omg it's just so annoying. (Ended up marking with unbuilt crafting stations so like campfire meant that was #1 etc...SEVEN NODES ...I mean it's just annoying)
- repetitive already - like the same 3 or 4 activities and they're just not that great
- not a lot of variety in enemies though some of them are imaginative
- the realms system is just not good - like it sounds like it has promise but in reality you just get a bunch of disconnected, boring, maps that take forever to load. Need a crafting material from your home node for a quest? Good luck you can now spend literally up to 10 minutes to warp home (loading screen/connecting screen) grab it, wait for portal to re-open (takes a few minutes) traverse it (another loading/connecting screen)

So I'm changing this to a do not recommend. It's got a lot of style but no substance. (I think of the 3 open world survival games i've bought in the past month, enshrouded still stands out)

Nightingale's greatest strength is its world building and overall atmosphere. It's fairly standard survival craft stuff, a touch grindy, but as it's fresh it hasn't been an issue. Runs fine for me (modest system a few years old, 3070 graphics card, 16gb of ram). I haven't seen enough of the realms system yet to pass judgement, but it's very intriguing.

Few things I found confusing here and there, but nothing too bad. The biggest issue with the game is always online, even playing player, which, IMO, is a huge mistake. Like my complaints have been delays logging in (to my own SP game), and the first server maintenance was a disaster - like an hour or whatever it was of maintenance in a brand new game is perfectly fine and understandable - but the game did not communicate what was going on just said shard unavailable. Now I eventually went to the discord and saw that was the case, but I feel like a lot of people will just see that it's down and not playable.

But going in knowing this, it's a cool new enjoyable game and hopefully it'll have legs.

edit: Some thoughts after a bunch of playing - So it's still fun, but getting a bit stale. The base and "factory" system is nonsense.
- Raids are glitchy AF and even Pal's in your team will just stand there, fortunately the raiders usually just stand there half the time.
- But the most annoying is the work system, major points like the stone quarry will just collect materials and non of the pals will move them into chests (and you can't use the materials for crafting unless in your inventory or chests).
- tied to this if you happen to grab stuff out of one of the production areas your inventory will be overfull and suddenly you can't move. If you're lucky maybe you can make a chest and dump it in there, otherwise it's dump everything on the ground and clean it up. If you do decide to build chests near the quarry you will just have to hope whatever position or angle you grabbed stuff at will let you also access the chest
- just in general pal's don't always do the work you expect even if you assign them tasks. They often get stuck in weird areas of a base and just slowly starve.

Do I still recommend? Yeah there's fun to be had, but they'd better get this stuff sorted out or it'll have no legs.

Bought due to hype, but man has this ever sucked me in from the start. Plays nice, and it's interesting to see what all these critters due. Base building and finding pals that can do the jobs you need looks like a lot of fun so far. For early access it's surprisingly fun with quite a bit of tech to unlock.

Playing only single player so far, and haven't really played pokemon before. I didnt' really get into Ark after trying quite a bit - but this game has hooked me pretty quick!

one final edit: At about 60 hours and I think i've been through all the content currently available (haven't really done any building) and it's a great game. I didn't expect this level of fun from an early access title!

edit: At about 30-40 hours in and this is one of my favourite games. This is early access? Apart from a few crashes, this is way beyond many complete titles. I haven't really even gotten into building, just exploring and adventuring. A few frustrating things here and there sure, but this is a truly epic game!

Few more hours in - this is an excellent game so far! Lots of great exploration (other than the main issue mentioned below), great open world exploring and rpg stuff. Build system is looking more and more intriguing.

Only just started, but so far it's very fun and very well done. Combat seems like it will be fun. Building I think works pretty good from the bit i've done. Atmosphere is great! I'm very eager to get back to it!

2nd Edit: Over 80 hours in, and it's still quite enjoyable. Some of the main quests are quite engaging. Some nice callbacks here and there to what you accomplish (though of course a few things never quite make sense). Outposts aren't very useful. Ship combat is an interesting addition. Personally would recommend going thru the main quest pretty quick the first time, and settle in NG+ etc. Gunplay I find to be very enjoyable, especially with the different environments and gravity strength etc (nothing like boosting on a low G world, and nailing a few pirates as you float down).

Edit: I've finished the game - easily one of the best game endings of all time (in all my 30+ years of gaming heh), just how it ends and coaxes you into NG+ is really great. It's not without its problems, but this really is a worthy game to play IMO. Can't wait to see what NG+ has to offer!

So far it's been excellent, a mixture of Skyrim and Fallout 4 in space. I'm slowly getting sucked into it I think!
Just be sure to note:
- it's not really space sim or traditional space exploration game - it's a Betheseda RPG. A lot of the spaceship stuff is just an extra encounter mini game, like you end up skipping space a lot of the time
- it's not really an FPS - like it has FPS gameplay sure, but it's driven more by RPG mechanics. It's enjoyable, but it's not like Borderlands or anything.
- There seems to be a lot of systems to dig into and places to go, I found myself almost getting overwhelmed then remembered...skyrim in space..like you can just relax and do the missions you want and explore crafting etc at your leisure.
One thing i have found is the skill tree so far is a bit lackluster, mainly just stat boosts, like a rifle skill boosts your rifle damage. IDK I guess that's skyrim like but i haven't noticed any big skills that i'm excited to work towards. We'll see though!

So far it's classic BL gameplay and I'm enjoying it. Some of the voicework and characters etc are definitely cringe, but although BL2 especially had great story, it's really about the gunplay and collecting which seems to be present :)

Was fun for awhile but some of the modes are just stupid - like the flame modes you can do your best but if no flame tiles show up there's nothing you can do to improve your time. And then the end boss is all flames, so you can literally play for 30 minutes and just eventually lose because there's nothing you can do.

A lot of power ups and status effects make it impossible to tell what color of gem is under them.

The match two sets in a row to activate powers gets frustrating when a chain reaction blows away what you've setup, and then it's all just luck.

So far a great Match-3 game with a decent variety of modes, upgrades, and match bonuses. A bit light on documentation though, with a lot of powers and requirements a bit murky. Still a great game so far though!
