So there’s this guy on TikTok who claims he invented a new color, but it’s literally just neon beige, and somehow he has 3.2 million followers who are all like, “OMG life-changing.” Meanwhile, in the comments, people are fighting over whether milk is a soup or a sauce, and one person brought up how octopus tentacles have independent brains, and now everyone’s spiraling into existential dread because apparently we’re closer to being jellyfish than we are to understanding tax law.

Anyway, I got sidetracked and accidentally spent 45 minutes watching videos of raccoons stealing entire loaves of bread, and now I’m weirdly invested in the idea of starting a raccoon gang where they all wear little bandanas and help me rob vending machines. But THEN I realized I don’t even know how vending machines work, like, who reloads them? Is there a secret vending machine society? Do they have a union? Why does no one talk about this? Also, why is there no emoji for a vending machine? We have one for a freaking boomerang but not for the thing that saved humanity with midnight snacks. Anyway, I looked it up, and now I’m on a list because apparently people DO steal vending machines, and now I’m wondering if I’m secretly a raccoon in a trench coat.
