Very short.
No excuse to not use vector graphics.

Pros:
World and story are excellent.
Wonderful environment, soundtrack, art. Delightful quirks.

Cons:
A bit on the short side. (100% Achievements and explored all content in <15 hours.)
Not sure how difficult the game would have been without using combat 'loopholes', with them the game seemed to have quite a low difficulty ceiling.
Artwork up to 0:40 in video 1 and the animated parts of video 2 not in the game.

Everyone should experience this game, just don't expect it to be too hardcore.
Buy it right now, with soundtrack.

P.P.S: Developers, very disappointed with the 'stand on two buttons at the same time' 'puzzle' being skippable, that was definitely unnecessary. And winning skippable battles should probbably give EXP, imho.

Early Access Review
I have a windows release of the incredible machine, something more recent than the shots shown in the video here, and I must say it looks more modern, with its pixels and all, than contraption maker. Yes, I see that the electric plugs connect automatically, and the wals and conveyor belts dont snap to huge squares any more, but whether that is an improvement seems ambiguous to me. No way to really edit anything substantial in the workshop has been demonstrated. Joins of different types of walls (or simply two pieces of wall) are not implemented (the original game's joins were absolutely spectacular)
in short, the graphics right now are worse than the windows release of Incredible machine, and other sprite games of the period, for example Creatures 3. Looks more like something that would be on an iPad with microtransactions, such as Mega Jump. Perhaps the gameplay will be gradually expanded, but so far between the inferior graphics, the iffy controls, and the unnecessarily free positioning, I recomend the original over this. And it doesn't look like the visual style is goign to be fixed.
I was reffering to this version of the game - http://resource.mmgn.com/Gallery/full/The-Incredible-Machine-Z5CC.jpg

The graphics did not really impress me from a technological standpoint, but the art is amazing. I found the game too easy sometimes if your style of play is ranged combat, but trying to get all the achievements provides enough gameplay to make this a moot complaint. Overall I had the experience of an interactive movie with shooter elements rather than a shooter, but with the art and story combined one that everone should experience.
