Honestly, this is one of the most enjoyable short games I’ve played in a while.

Despite the limitations with the entire game’s visuals being ASCII art it is executed perfectly. The enemies and the environment combined with the OST makes for an amazing and immersive experience… For 3 hours.

Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The game is short and the gameplay itself is subpar. It purely consists of you watching the characters move forward in the level with the occasional button press to use an item.
The game is also very repetitive, every dungeon is functionally the same and with a mediocre at best story and ending there isn’t much reason to play this game except for the artwork.

The killer is this game’s exorbitant price. For $30 you could buy so many better games. Apparently the game is free on mobile so I don’t understand the extreme price hike on steam.

To conclude. This game is good and would warrant a positive review IF it was free like the mobile version. There is absolutely no reason why you should purchase this game when there is a free version which some claim to be better than the steam version. If you want to give the game a try, play it on mobile.
