I don't even know where to start. I never played poker, but I learned this game quickly because it's not poker. Balatro is easily one of the best roguelike games I've ever played. I would put it on the upper echelon scale of Dead Cells (when comparing it to something so high-quality and epic as a comparison). The fact that one person developed this game is mind-blowing. I would gladly support any future paid DLCs. It would be great to see Steam Workshop support. Imagine people making new card themes, new rules, etc. The fact that this game supports macOS and Geforce Now is the cherry on top. Steam Cloud saves sync with WIndows so one can seamlessly play across different devices. I'm not going to mention the gameplay. There are plenty of reviews that cover it. All I can say is that Balatro is one of the best games I've ever played. It deserves to be named Game of the Year.

Do you love C&C Red Alert 1/2/3? If so, you'll love 9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far.

The gameplay is amazing and includes naval units. Plays like a C&C Red Alert game. Super fun. Full Steam workshop and mod support. And Frank Klepacki music!

Petroglyph's dev team created C&C - they're a very interactive and passionate developer.

The game runs on nearly any system …

Mac or Linux user? Not a problem! It works great with Proton, Steam Deck, or Crossover.

Be sure to join the Discord. Awesome community!

(Received for free because I'm a beta tester as well.)

The game is full of depth in both building, researching, managing characters and resources, combat, (meta) progression, etc. I say anyone who hasn't played at least 10 hours of this game and claims otherwise needs to play it longer. After a certain amount of hours it'll click and you'll realize just how immersive it really is. Brilliant in every gaming aspect. Well worth purchasing all the extras. The developer is highly invested in the game and the community of fans. The community is amazing.

One of my favorite twin-stick shooter roguelites is Neon Chrome, and I've been looking for a game to satisfy that itch. I believe I found it in Doomsday Hunters.

I think this game is fantastic, and the developer is constantly updating it. Even plans to add workshop mod support. The sheer number of weapons, pickups, power-ups, perks, skills, etc., and enemy variety is worthy of trying, and there's a demo available too. Give yourself a little time to get used to the perspective, but once it clicks, I think you'll find it challenging and fun.

I recommend reading the Steam guides.

The game works great via Crossover for Mac as well — if any fellow Mac users are curious.

This is an absolutely wonderful game. I was looking for a roguelike Diablo and this is even better than I imagined. It has the perfect amount of pacing, gameplay, and variety. The developer and the community are great. It works great on my MacBook Air M2 using Crossover and it also works with Geforce Now. The best of both worlds. I look forward to more updates and new content.

Amazing! Well interwoven story. Full of information, codex, lore, and story choices. Excellent writing and humor that covers interesting philosophical sci-fi concepts through dialogue. Good character development. Very in-depth upgrade and combat systems. Basic and power attacks. Energy systems. Super strategic game play. You can select cards before battle while analyzing enemies to set up a good plan. Most importantly, the developer is passionate about their game and listens to feedback in Discord. If you like sci-fi, deck builders, or a well-designed game, Metroplex Zero is a must-buy.

FYI: Works great with Crossover for Mac.

Brilliant RTS game. The theme is fantastic and unique. The customization is quite amazing. This is my go to RTS game this year and most likely for next year. The developer is passionate about updating. The fact that it supports macOS and Geforce Now adds a lot of flexibility. There is a minor bug with the macOS client where the mouse is off-center in full-screen, but works fine in windowed mode. The developer has been informed of this bug. Otherwise, I say grab it. It's one of the best RTS games I've ever played, and I've played a lot of them.

The best roguelite period. You can find other roguelites, but Dead Cells reigns as the greatest. The developer, Motion Twin, has created the perfect game that will compel you to keep playing to upgrade, discover, and redefine yourself as a gamer to progress further. The game is constantly being updated with features and content. Also, thank you for the Mac and Geforce Now support. Much appreciated!

The developer cares about the game and is constantly working on it. But there are some glaring issues. The UI can't be easily navigated with a mouse. Weird. The combat and movement are less fluid than Dead Cells. They need to revisit that and consider ways to make it flow better. It feels choppy, and there isn't a way to switch back and forth as if the game's physics are fighting the need of the player to instantly change positions, aim, etc.,. So why am I recommending the game? You might not be so nitpicky, and the developer seems passionate about the game, so I hope these problems will be addressed. Also, Dead Cells provides Native Mac and Linux support, which would be nice for this game.

I won't say anything more about this masterpiece that is already mentioned. Just buy it. I wrote this review to thank the developer for supporting native macOS. Thank you so much!
