Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite games!! Released in 2007, *Portal* introduced an innovative gameplay mechanic, aged exceptionally well, and remains a reference in game design. On top of that, its story is one of the funniest, weirdest, and most iconic I’ve ever seen. The creativity behind its development is simply brilliant.


Even for a game from 2007, the graphics are exceptionally good for their time. The minimalist style of the Aperture Science laboratories, combined with impressive physics and well-executed lighting, ensures that the game still looks appealing today.

But what truly makes *Portal* special isn’t just its visuals—it’s how it creates a unique atmosphere: cold, scientific, and disturbingly hilarious, thanks to the unforgettable presence of GLaDOS.


The portal mechanics were revolutionary at the time and remain one of the best puzzle systems ever implemented in gaming history. The way the game teaches its mechanics, without intrusive tutorials, is a perfect example of great game design.

Moreover, the game encourages creative thinking and problem-solving in unconventional ways, making each test chamber a unique and rewarding experience.


Once you finish the main campaign, you can dive into advanced maps, time challenges, and achievements that push the game to another level. Some of these challenges demand extreme precision and quick thinking, significantly increasing the difficulty.

And of course, *Portal* loves to mess with the player’s mind, so don’t expect an easy ride—just one of the most rewarding ones. Hiihi!!
