In 2008 this guy came up to my door in Winchester, Indiana and kept knocking on my door asking for "sweets." I kept telling him, this ain't Halloween. I don't have any sweets. But he kept asking me for suckers, "cando" and jolly-poppies specifically. I eventually had to call the non-emergency line because this man kept harassing me and my three daughters. The police actually recommended that I send my daughters out as a biblical appeasement to make him go away, so I did. I sent out my two least favorite daughters (love you Jessica) and told him, here, here's your sweets and jolly-poppies. He made strange gutteral noises of appeasement and disappeared. I haven't heard from my two daughters since, but I don't mind since eggs are so expensive now. I hope Hadel's treating them well.
