I would've easily given this game an 8 or 9/10 if it wasn't for the constant freezes. They would occur whenever I open the map too quickly after I loaded into a mission or during a car chase. Other freezes can happen when the game goes into or out of a cutscene, even loading into a new chapter. I find it quite ridiculous that this game came out last year, and these very bothersome problems/bugs persist.

Theoretical Rating (8 or 9/10): The story is excellent, and the graphics are stunning to me. The only downside is that the gameplay, such as the gunfights, is rudimentary. It isn't much of an improvement compared to Mafia II. The controls can sometimes be unresponsive, too.

Actual Rating (5/10): Because of the freezes, which had me forcibly close the game around 20 times, I'm going to have to give Mafia a 5/10. The freezes made the overall experience horrible, and there were times that I didn't want to bother playing the game. Mafia's story and nostalgia saved 2K from having a low rating on Steam. As of right now, I do not recommend others playing this game unless you can bear the bugs that it has.

TL;DR - This game still requires many fixes for it to be enjoyable.

Still has a huge cheater problem. lol
