If you've ever lived with someone who hates bugs and forces you to heroically kill them every time they get inside the house, this is the equivalent of that, times 40.000.

This game has thought me consistency, patience, learning from my mistakes and not getting upset over hardship. Instead, i learn from what happens and eventually push through. At the same time, i've had probably the most fun in a game since the first time i sat in that cart in ES:Skyrim 10 years ago.

I was super hesitant about purchasing this game, and held off for almost 4 months. This was my first real "souls" game. I've dabbled in DS3, watched a load of play troughs of DS1 to Sekiro, but it just frustrated me when i tried to play myself. I felt like there wasn't really anything to do but to go from boss to boss and constantly backtrack. The open world and exploration is probably what made this for me. The characters you meet are interesting, most of the bosses are awesome as hell. Weapons have such variety, and sometimes i'd find a weapon and respec my entire build just to include it. I love that there is so many things you can do. Sure, the main goal is still "fight boss to fight the next boss", but i have tried to explore as much as i can, and there's still countless places i've not even interacted with, missed or outright ignored by accident.

Getting into this game, i was actually terrified since i'd heard and understood how hard From Software's games are. I would sneak everywhere, not fight unless i got a back stab and/or there was more than 1 enemy. I tried to hold off the first boss as long as possible. However, i found one of those riders at the start with the huge cleavers and fur armor. My first couple of attempts made it feel like an impossible feat. After my 4'th attempt, i finally killed one. Mind you, i started as a Wretch because i heard its the best to build around and i had only picked up a helmet. It was so invigorating. That was my first personal, unofficial boss, and it was the great start of building up my confidence. It wasn't long after that i understood i shouldn't treat the game like hide&seek, but as an actual worthy claimaint of the title "RPG", filled to the brim with adventure and lore. Nothing is impossible to beat, and everything can eventually be outsmarted.

I have some minor issues here and there. MP should be easier to get into. Make Co-Op scale even without passwords for example. The fact that the community puts a "level limit" for PvP and Co-Op can be pretty frustrating when you don't realise that limit is (at the time of this review) 120-150, until you are way above it. The target-lock with controller could be the most annoying thing in the whole game though. Half the time it doesn't lock and just spins the camera 180 degrees and get you back stabbed.

This game is the most fun i've had from a triple A title in years, it's not even close to the mediocre crap most AAA studios put out. It's been the best therapist for self-confidence. No pills (outside of those anti-rot ones), no long sessions of "talking it out". Just getting beaten to a pulp over and over until i could finally stand up, take it on the chin and move on. THIS IS THE REAL FEELING OF PRIDE AND ACCOMPLISHMENT.

At the time of this review, i have 100 hours in this game and a distinct feeling of sadness that it might soon be the end, outside of NG+ that is. Thank you From Software, for giving me back that feeling i didn't think was possible to achive again, riding in the back of the cart to Helgen Keep.

This game is absolutly amazing. Souls-like for casuals. The story, the cinematics, the animations is all great.

So ♥♥♥♥ you devs for not fixing the bug during the Darth Vader scene where i just keep falling through the elevator. No fix, appart from completely restarting the entire campaign when you got about 10-15 min left of it...

A really well-made sequel to Crusader Kings 2. Getting into old Paradox games is a mess, but this one leads you in with an actual tutorial. I found it funny how they used Ireland for the tutorial since it was the place people told you to start in CK2, tutorial island if you will.

Although it feels a lot like CK2 with added stuff, there are some negatives.
For example, this time you don't need a DLC to play a Muslim character, but i found out pretty quickly that Republics are not playable by the time of this review. This is obviously a setup for DLC since it was fully playable with DLC in CK2. Mercenaries are too easy to hire, and allows you to go bankrupt to hire them. I have not yet tried the multiplayer, but in single player i found this to be quite powerful in smaller areas of conquest (Ireland being a good example).

The map looks beautiful, and has a lot more baronies and duchies added to it. I love this because it feels more free and adds to the "sandbox feeling" so to speak. The graphics for characters with deformities, diseases and such are all well-made. I got truly scared the first time i saw my 6 year old with the Black Death.

Although not entirely negative, i find the new religion system to be a bit strange. The amount of Tenets that you can choose, but only have 3 of, makes it all feel limiting. When this system came out in Holy Fury for CK2 it felt like there wasn't an overwhelming amount of choices on what to pick, but here you have so many it's honestly a bit confusing. The heresy system sounds fun on paper, but feel like if protestants didn't have any reformation centers in EU4 (unless you are a well-loved king or emperor, good luck with that).

For a Paradox title, this game feels a lot more finished than previous titles at launch. Imperator: Rome was an absolute mess (I'm looking at you Mr enemies-can-attack-across-other-peoples-borders-with-just-military-access.) If you have played CK2, it feels like that but with around ~60% of the DLC's.

Overall, Crusader Kings 3 feels like a very solid base but also game in and of itself, and in a statement that might upset many, if the game is good from the get-go, i don't mind paying 2-3 times a year for bigger DLC's that add to the already fun sandbox experience. I, for example, had a lot of fun with the societies in non-Ironman games in CK2, but it was almost mandatory in Ironman for all the stat boosts. I'd say if societies are added again, they should give you traits that add very specific things but also are not overwhelmingly powerful. Hashashins being given a trait that adds murder plot power makes sense, but it shouldn't outmatch having 3-4 other characters joining the plot.

I've already had some funny things happen. The day before this review i played as the ruler of the Fatimids (Egypt). The pope was bisexual, and so i decided that this is a perfect opportunity to protect myself from Crusades. I managed to get into his little pink pope panties and have him as my lover. However, i realised this wouldn't last since the pope was 83 years old. I therefor decided to blackmail him for some cash since he was now considered a Sodomite. What i didn't expect was how little "no hard feelings?" ment to him. He'd infact live long enough to set off a crusade against me. The only way to solve this was of course to abduct, torture and execute my former lover, thus ending the great First Crusade.

As a final note, if the thought of future DLC's scares you off, try getting the game as early as possible if you find it fun. It feels less overwhelming paying 10/15/$20 once every now and again, than having to put in $250 at once. I personaly hope that for once i wont have to pay the insane amount of money as for previous titles.

Thanks for reading! I'm off to bang the new pope.

This isn't a super extensive review, just my personal opinion about some certain things. I don't have hundred of hours in this, but i feel like you've played enough after 30+ game breaking crashes. :D

Good game for the early access price. Do NOT pay 60 dollars/euros for this, although the graphics look good, and gameplay is vary different from a normal survival game. I think this has been said before, ALOT, but releasing DLC is not even close to okay when your base game is not finished! (In Early Access). A season pass aswell?!? You're not EA, you can't get away with that, especially with a survival game! And if anything, learn from their mistakes... Somethingsomething... splitting community...somethingsomething.

+ The amount of dinos you can ride, tame and breed is amazing, and alot of them do different things from all the others. Vary different, and a vary interesting system!
+ You havn't settled in a place that has every resource around? (Vary rarely will) Well, time to go on a journey across the world to get yourself some pearls, cement, obsidian etc! Or even items to summon bosses and receive TEK blueprints! This is usually not a big thing, but i find that it realy pushes people out into the world and doesn't leave them cramped up in their bases like in Rust for example.
+ Crafting system is very extensive! It can be realy hard to just get mid-tier gear for the reasons explained before. It vary much so depends on where you have settled, or if you have a flying/climbing dino! (Tame a Thylacoleo and you'll understand) The amount of crafting "stations" in this game realy gives you goal upon goal to follow.

- So, this is an up/down depending on the person. For me it's a meh, realy frustrating at times. Starting in this game is fudging hard as nails. Even in the "easy" spawn locations, you can easily get killed by a single raptor (or such) in under 30 sec. It's realy satisfying when you find a nice place to settle.
- Server list shows about 10% of all servers. This is realy frustrating when you know there are almost full, 120 slot servers out there and you only see 12/60 once at max.
-One crash every 2 hours is not justifiable. Maybe it's my system, but i've seen alot of people with the same issues and crashes.

I've had a good enough amount of hours in this to give it a rating of... meh. Solo is a good place to start, but i can't imagine it will take you less then 30 hours to get high-end items on Vanilla servers. And i'm not including TEK stuff in that list. With a friend it would probably go alot faster, and that is of course highly encouraged.

As much fun as i've had, this game can't be justified at 60 Euros/Dollars. An example for saying this is these "Story notes" in urns, boxes or crates you could find around the map. (Not sure if this is still happening, but this was in the last version before "full release") I tried to pick up several of these, and sometimes by mistake broke the item that contained this note. This caused a fatal error to the game EVERY TIME... This isn't to bad in multiplayer, but when playing SP, the load time for your save/map can take up to around 30min depending on your system, and the rollback can be 10-15 min before the crash. I personally had alot more game breaking errors, and during a time, this game even made my graphics card shut off.
But don't worry about all these flaws. You can put bunny ears on your T-Rex...

At the moment, there's alot of content, and you should try it out if you see it on sale. It's worth 60$ as much as No Man's Sky is tho.

Take into consideration that i am a long term fan of the HITMAN series. But i will give this an honest review, from my personal experience! Sorry for any grammatical problems during this review!

To start of, yes, this game is unsharpened, but not bad. (The internet thing is ridiculous tho)
Personaly, i havn't experienced game breaking bugs, but a few...
For example, a few through the wall melee glitching, but only like 2.
No crashes so far.
Managed to create a contract without any problems.

My biggest issue is the stupid "Telltale episodic" story. I do not like waiting for my hitman story.
Belive me, after completing 75-80% of the challanges, you'll just be bored and feel done with, right now, Paris.

The contract mode works, no issues.

The internet system is not good, especially since they brand it a "Singleplayer" game.

Getting to the graphic settings, it's not optimized vary good. I personaly use a MSI Radeon R9 390 Gaming - 8GB.
First time i got into the game (helipad) i thought "Holy crap i can max this out with 130 FPS!" Then you get to the boat level, and the frames drop to around 20-40 FPS, jumping alot. With the crowd system, it does give your CPU a good run aswell.

I hope they don't release "episodes" with months in between

The price for the game, is probably not worth it at the moment, tho i got it for free with the graphics card.

Conclusion. At the moment, i would wait to buy the game, after 2-3 more "episodes" added, you'll have a huge amount of things to do, and it will take you around 6 hours to complete 75-80% of the challenges on one map, depending on your speed of course. It can't be ran on anything under a high/ultra setup, atleast i wouldn't recommend it.

It's a ~meeeeh~ game at the moment, lacking, but good. And they realy need to fix the internet things.
Good luck out there, Agents!

Early Access Review
This game, for an early access title, is one i can support. Here are some reasons...

1: The dev adds and improves stuff vary often, and listens to the community! Have an improvment
idea/suggestion? do put them up on the forums!
2: The game itself pulls off god-game and village/city builder vary well. I've played a good few hours
to see most of it right now. While the game at the moment doesn't have a huge amount to do, you can
find yourself stuck in sandbox mod for a couple of hours, exploring the different maps, and seeing
where a good place would be to set up camp in survival (Or do like me, creat a map in your favor ;P)
3: For beeing an Early Access title, Retro-Pixel Castle has a vary low amount of bugs at the moment,
tho as mentioned before, reporting one is pretty easy! :)

There's not much else to write in a review for this game, and i'm sure ain't a professional at it. But i recommend trying it out if you're interested. The price isn't unfair if you ask me!

Early Access Review
Have to be honest and say that i first pirated this game to see how it was, and simply enough, i played about 30 hours of that in like alpha 23 or somthing around that time. I found this game amazing and decided to absolutly support the devs and buy it. So i did, 2 days ago. Basicly, get this game if you're a fan of games such as Dwarf Fortress or Dungeon Keeper e.t.c the concept of those games! You'll love it forever!
