I'm actually lost for words, but will write some thoughts.
Amazing work in terms of the story and gameplay. Super engaging. Actual great characters that you can meaningfully connect with. Great approach to hard topics included. Well balanced around emotions. Graphics and animations are nice too.
One flaw was a bit forcing choice pretty early in the game when nothing really happened just yet with plenty of story to go.
Overall outstanding game putting to shame all other similar titles being easily my personal top 2 in the genre. It just so happens that heavy topics, a serious setup and realistic approach to story build up just feels right and make game immersive.

Quite outstanding level of animation and graphic design. The game just looks good and the scenes are well made.

Although I should have seen this coming just from the store page - the storyline, while truly mysterious.. is pretty dumb, with a lot of questionable dialogues, actions and overall problems with continuity. Character design couldn't be more stereotypical. Female heroes lack unique traits and probably at least some dignity to make them more interesting and not just objects. In comparison to other productions of similar type this really is just for horny people and if you're one of them, it's fine by me - it's a game for you. However if you prefer a bit more realistic and challenging setup in the story, sorry - you won't find it here.

I can't say that I'm not waiting for season 2 because I am - just for sake of giving next chance to the title as the season 1 ends on promising note. However as it's not there - as a standalone title I wouldn't recommend it for people thinking alike as mentioned earlier.

quite awful drawing experience, the idea and game is quite simple and fun, but there are better (and free..) games for drawing with friends

full screen optimization is terrible (for amd)
the game is nice but design of races seems pretty bad to me at least

overall repetitive gameplay and annoying races, on higher difficulty the grind to master every corner of every circuit is a boring idea to me because let me tell you - AI doesn't make mistakes and you will. You can take that as an advantage but it isn't for me. One fail makes your race unwinnable so if you like masochist mastering in your free time go ahead and buy the gime. It seems that it can be enjoyable for certain players.

winning at lower levels (1,2 out of 5) isn't rewarding since AI cars are basically driving at trash speed and you have like a class higher vehicle

I play solo only.
Forza Horizon 4 was better so if you haven't bought it start there.

Campaign
In comparison a bit less content. Stories have branching which caused some unnecessary inconsistencies and problems although if implemented correctly could be a nice feature. So called expeditions and campaign events are nice, but it lacked a bit of details in terms of design and integration with the whole story. From the beginning you're the "Superstar" and it provided some openings but it wasn't fully utilized and the feeling of progress just wasn't there.

Recommendation
It is still one of the best car racing games on the market. I value Horizon 4 higher because game design went into the wrong direction with races, story and rewards systems. They tried couple of new things but I don't think they worked out. Very enjoyable but if you are like me wanting to complete solo aspects the game only I would wait for a discount of 33% minimum. Price around 35$ is fair for the content.

Convinced to buy it? Here are some thoughts
I gave up on idea of realistic damage although I played Horizon 4 with it. The apogee was 25 minute long race (it was quite boring) when I lost almost entirely ability to turn because of worn tires. The concept of the game obviously makes it more fun without realistic damage so I'm not gonna torture myself.

If you don't want to have "oh my f-ing god" moment unlock Horizon Rush expedition asap because it provides PR stunts (speed zones etc.)

I got it for 4$ and I wouldn't pay more, recommendation stands for this price.
I only buy those for player/manager career.
Therefore the review goes mostly about single player with AI.

At the moment of the review I played 3 full seasons of player career.
The mode has been redesigned in a way I can't fully comprehend.
They rightfully recognized previous system with achievements was incredibly bad and had to be replaced.
The main problems it had was too fast spike, unbalanced training sessions that were easy, fast and gave necessary progress very fast, broken scoring system, non-existent contract - you were obliged to play until death if you played too good, disconnected RPG aspect of the mode - you just play on the pitch and nothing else exists example of which was hilarious 5000$ contract while being the best player in the world basically.

Now what has been solved of those?
Scoring system is only slightly bugged. Just that.
However, the system provides something interesting but also so ridiculously disconnected from actual gameplay I'm not sure if I'm impressed. They basically implemented Assassin's Creed abilities tree. The hilarious aspect of this but which is also quite cool as a possibility to be fair is changing position, abilities and even physicality of the player. This is a nice option to explore different roles in team without starting career over but this obviously super disconnects from the already mentioned RPG aspect of the mode.
This kinda cool feature has another easily fixable issue which is very low ceiling. It's still achieved super fast, even faster than previously. And it's too low, it's so disappointing getting max 87 OVR. So the grind finishes pretty past.
So the new system is ok, but still far from achieving desired design and I don't think it's going in a good direction.

Going back to overall career experience there is also new manager rating system and match objectives which are.. pretty dumb. Your personal objective which affects your manager rating (starting XI, bench) are sometimes team objectives (get 65% possession) which I assure you cannot be done on high difficulty unless you spam requesting pass and somehow don't lose a ball. For some reason manager rating decays with time. I don't know what purpose it serves. I guess it forces you to train (which at max XP do nothing but gaining you manager rating).

Funny thing, career seems to really struggle with combining clubs and country matches, animations, trainings.
I had title race which I lost in last game - but won the match. The commentary were well logically handled but I ended with trophy in the dressing room anyway.
When I won international title we celebrated - obviously - with my club manager.
I got injured for 220 days and my manager just sold me because my rating decayed to me being a zero in his eyes.

general gameplay angry noises:
- Goalkeepers are absolutely garbage. They can't defend 35m distance shot which goes 5km/h but have reflexes to throw themselves into far corner when power shot goes from inside the box
- good luck getting free kicks, in my entire 3 season career there were 5 fouls in total 3 of which were made by me when clashing into a running dude, the 2 other were fouls on goalkeepers

pretty, simplistic design, nice gameplay focused around exploring and playing around with basic controls and mechanics

Didn't like it, not a game for me. Was hoping for a continuous horror vibe, not jumpscare and run away gameplay. Second time I was forced to run I gave up. I really hate this game-style. Prefer story-driven exploration scare. Here scaring player is for scaring purpose only. No plot is moving forward from that.

I don't like the game design, I was hoping for some changes in perspective to 1st installment of the game, but nothing that annoyed me has changed. Waited for a discount for this game to not risk this outcome and it happened. Well..
I guess if you enjoyed first game you will enjoy this one too, although I think content is a bit worse.
Graphics are still nice. It has great potential to it.
