Mediocre Need for Speed with very few of the hallmarks that makes the series good. The story is the most annoying and most boring thing to listen to along with the characters. No charm, no decent humor, not even a "so bad it's good", it's just bad. After 10 hours into the game I just had to completely mute speech audio so i didn't have to hear any of what they were saying. Speaking of muting, you're going to want to mute everything except for the SFX & car audio because dear god is the soundtrack awful. The multiplayer doesn't even use what you earned in the Career mode either. It's completely independent, so why even bother?

Also, this game runs like garbage on PC and has a major fault. It will consume CPU resources even when the game is off by messing with your WMI Provider process. I bought the game for $9.99 on sale and even THAT was too much.

Go play NFS U, U2, MW, C, PS, UC, or really any other NFS game (not Heat) and you'll have a better experience.

You either love it or you hate it. The game is a Destiny / Warframe love child and it's great fun to play. If you don't see yourself able to get past the few attractive characters, you're most likely going to let it cloud your judgement of the game.

Story is nothing to be astounded by, the looter-shooter mechanics are just as you'd expect (drops feel significantly lower than the percentages they state) and the Descendants have variety in their skills. Find a character you like and fall in love with the game. Which, is a bit hard considering you only have a choice between 4 characters within the first hour or two of the game. There's quite a few more but since it's f2p, you gotta grind or you pay for em.

Overall, Good fun if you understand what you're getting into. Visually great, Sounds great, Design is great. Could use some QoL, and your wallet will cry if you look at the shop.

Enjoy!

Early Access Review
Genuinely fun little story. Can't wait for Chapter 3! The themes are pretty dark sometimes and it actually made me want to read more of the story just in shock. Buy it! The writing is fun :)

Please don't play this. You get sucked into a worm hole of liking the game but hating to play it and you end up needlessly spending hundreds of dollars on it. (I've been playing this game since 2014)

Ace Combat 7 is a great way to start your journey into the Ace Combat series. It isn't the best story ever, but it's very fun to play. I used an Xbox One Controller during my entire time playing the game and had a blast! Game ran very smoothly with an i7-7700k + GTX 1070 set up and it managed to hold a solid 144 fps on ultra no matter what was happening. I bought the Deluxe Edition and the plane customization is certainly lackluster, but it's very nice to see older insignias and emblems return. I have yet to be able to git gud at the multiplayer mode, but it seems the best idea is to grind through the campaign first and unlock special parts for your planes to help you get that extra edge. I don't know why everyone is so hateful towards the game. It's my first Ace Combat and I absolutely love it so far!

I was looking for a joke visual novel to buy, and at $9,99, I figured, hey let me check this out. Once I read the description of the novel, I was hooked. The narrative is set in an area of the world that is "dry" of content, pun not intended. The story unravels in a wonderful 6-7 hour reading session. I found myself wanting to come back to this game the day after I started because I was excited and wanted to read more and more. The set pieces are beautiful and the game's art in general is very well done to say the least. The music is absolutely amazing. I loved the theme and the music tied everything together. The only negative would be the predicatble story, to a degree, and the personalities of the girls. They're pretty straight forward. Other than that, I loved the game. It was worth the money and I even bought the soundtrack because I loved the tracks. My personal favorite is "Electric Shoehorn" :)

Should you buy, Highway Blossoms?
Yes. Yes you should.
