RimWorld itself is fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable to play, but perhaps the most compelling reason I keep coming back to this game is how attentive and caring the developer is. Tynan is a great example to other devs in how to be approachable by players and how to respond to their concerns. For example, last week a thread on the RimWorld subreddit gained popularity addressing a bug that was discovered in the 1.3 release involving bonded persona weapons and biocoded status--Tynan responded saying they were working on a fix, and on the patch from two days ago he delivered the resolution to the problem. So many game developers/companies today cave into pride and wouldn't even bother responding, considering themselves above needing feedback from players, but what sets Tynan apart is found in his humble service to those who play the game. Can't say enough good things about the guy.

An amazing game, even years later! Great storyline that deserves to be continued, and a classic.
