i dont want to necro your thread on getting bioshock to run but you can browse to the game folder in steam and send a shortcut "BioshockHD.exe" to your desktop and click that instead. just make sure steam is running before you click it. i do it with all the bioshock game and have no launcher loading. good luck wi that
