Not a clicker, not an RPG, not really a rogue-lite, no customization outside of naming your primary unit, no economy to speak of. Game pauses itself after some time being afk (why?) so not even an idler. Store description is misleading at best.

What's actually in the game feels polished and seems to have some good DNA, which makes it extra confusing when you've unlocked everything after 2-3 hours and are wondering where the rest of the game is. I can't say for certain the game was designed to be engaging just long enough to defeat Steam's refund window, but the conspicuously abrupt content cliff you hit around the 2 hour mark is kind of hilarious. If you look through the pictures on Steam, you've seen >90% of what is in the entire game.

It's a great demo, but for now try to find something better to do with your $9.

Game part of the game is fun.

The game stopped getting new content years ago, but gets new cash shop skins on a regular basis.

Constant des yncs that se em to get worse with every patch.m ake it difficult to enjo y th e game sometim es.

If you want a vision of Hunt: Showdown--imagine yourself in the bayou, bounties in hand, having fought tooth and nail to clear the map as a solo hunter, still covered in the blood of the teams you hacked through to get your prize...only to get unceremoniously unalived by gravity because you happened to find Schroedinger's Elevator on your way to the extraction point, and because the game engine couldn't decide if you were at the top or bottom of the lift when you used it, it resolved the paradox by superpositioning you straight into the dirt at roughly the speed of light, This results in you existing in the branch of the universe where your level 43 hunter died an ignoble, lonely death, a universe in which you're unable to interact with the alternate version of yourself whose character did not become paste when the wave function collapsed, and was therefore not inspired to leave a ♥♥♥♥♥♥, melodramatic review on the game's Steam page.

Not a roguelike
Microtransaction nightmare
Permadeath can be disabled for $100

There are better things to do with your time than play Darza's Dominion.

UI is about 10x too large.

edit: Developer has added GUI scaling which seems to function reasonably well, so thank you for taking community concerns into account and addressing them so quickly after release.

I wish I could give this a "thumbs sideways" review at the moment as there's still a few substantial issues haranguing this game. Namely, dungeons being 3x as dense with mobs as they should be (especially when dungeons are designed to be multi-tiered, respawning mobs as you move between ladders) and crafting being horrendously, horrendously slow. I'm a huge fan of time wasting games and Korean MMOs, and to me this game is still just tedium incarnate. If I need to crank CheatEngine up to 100x speed during the crafting, achieving the same result only without wasting literal hours, then I feel something needs to be addressed.

Which is unfortunate because there's a lot of great content in the game, the combat/co-op is fun, and there's a neat world to explore. It doesn't make sense to me why the pacing has been tuned the way it is, so unfortunately I still can't recommend this for $10.

4/10 in its current state.

8/10 if the pacing were retuned to be less of a slog.

Can't remap controls for the game. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2016 and developers are still pulling this ♥♥♥♥, there's no excuse.
