Finally runs great now that they've removed Denuvo!

I enjoyed this game, but I liked Fallen Order a lot more.
I overall have some mixed feelings about this game. It's a very fun game, with a great start and ending, but the middle feels watered down. Not because it lacks content, but because some of it feels like filler or is just out of place (like gardening). The open world aspects fell flat imo. But what I disliked the most is how the main villains you're introduced to shortly arriving on Koboh feel like anime villains. Between that, and the Koboh matter puzzles, large parts of it don't feel like Star Wars. Thankfully, the story does get much better!

As far as game play, they did a good job of expanding on the first one. The different stances and force powers provide a good variety of play styles.

This game has potential, but has some serious balancing issues. I like hard games, but this isn't a case of "get good". It's a stat check. It's a case of slowly grind enough xp while failing to accomplish objectives and hope that leveling up will make this game more fair. This game left me and my friends wondering what we're doing wrong. Turns out, nothing. That's just how the game is. To improve your ship, you need to collect scrap. To collect scrap, you need to destroy other ships (and hope for good rng). To destroy those ships, you need to upgrade your weapons to get enough fire power or get swarmed and out-gunned. You're stuck in a viscous cycle with your only hope to get out is to grind xp and get a few levels under your belt.

The environments are stunning and the audio is solid. The main gameplay/races are what you'd expect from a rally racing sim. But that's all the good I have to say about this game.
The campaign has some good ideas, but they fall flat and punishes you for decisions you made in the first 5 minutes of the game by boxing you out of some content that you were hoping to play.
Characters look like bobble heads when they're not wearing helmets. Overall, an ok-at-best game. Or at least it was until they added kernel level anti-cheat.

EA anti cheat broke the game on Linux. I don't care for the multiplayer features, so a kernel level anti cheat feels pointless. I wish single player games would just let me play offline. I bet this game will be unplayable for everyone once they inevitably shut the servers down.

note: this game was a gift. Now wasted since I can't play it anymore

Early Access Review
It's early access so there are some bugs, but It still feels better polished than many full release titles these day. So far, this is already the best medieval city builder I've played. One of the aspects that make it stand out is the use of artisan/cottage industries that are run out of people's homes rather than dedicated industry buildings which in most games, usually result in a more modern style industrial district rather than a medieval village that grew organically.
I'm hopeful for this games ongoing development and for the new content to come.

The game could be good. But it isn't.

Online only with terrible server stability and networking. Joining a multiplayer race is a coin toss at best. If someone gets disconnected during a pvp race, then the race won't start and there's no way for the disconnected player to attempt to re-join.

Even when playing alone, this game feels more like a casino than a game. While some content is locked behind DLC, more is locked behind slot machine style loot boxes, or seasonal content. Limited time content (such as cars) that create fear of missing out to feed into those casino vibes. The clunky UI throws more information in your face than what users can handle, full of reward notifications to make the smallest gain feel like you won something (again, like a casino) and randomly generated limited time events to boat up the content and create more FOMO.

Thanks Michaelsoft.

Very well polished game with a good story and great mechanics. The worlds are gorgeous and the puzzles are fun. There were a few scenes where the dialog/story telling felt abrupt, but the rest felt really smooth.

Edit: This game has tricked me into enjoying souls-likes, and I couldn't be more thankful for it. I didn't realize this is a souls-like until I was at the third or so boss.
